Used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 2.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,765 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The Traverse fits buyers who want a larger midsize three-row SUV with stylish design, plenty of cargo space, and strong feature appeal. It also brings broad capability, including a 5,000-pound towing capacity with the Trailering Package now standard.

The trade-offs are clear: the engine note is unpleasant, the interior materials feel cheap, and value for money is a weak point. Even so, the market shows 38.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse’s reliability case is helped by its broad standard equipment and its strong everyday usability. The expert evaluation also points to good fuel economy for the segment and a package that feels well suited to family use.

Its powertrain is described as delivering plenty of power, and the all-wheel-drive setup helps reduce wheel spin and torque steer. Chevrolet also includes three years of access to Super Cruise when you choose the Enhanced Driving Package, which adds a useful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that quality concerns around the engine sound, interior materials, and usability may affect how satisfied you feel after the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with added equipment. Focus on interior condition, control usability, and whether the vehicle’s features work as expected in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The available trims include LT, Z71, High Country, and RS. The base trim gap matters because the lineup starts above the entry-level space many shoppers expect, while the Z71 adds the off-road-oriented hardware and the High Country brings the upscale positioning.
• Powertrain: The Traverse uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It delivers strong acceleration, but the engine note is criticized, and front-wheel-drive operation can bring wheel spin and torque steer.
• Safety package: Every Traverse includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat. The Driver Confidence Package adds a high-definition surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert, while the Enhanced Driving Package adds Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is a 17.7-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa compatibility, OnStar connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 11-inch digital instrumentation panel is also standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The Traverse is described as having good fuel economy for the segment, and the test vehicle returned 21.5 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, Z71, High Country, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the trim to start with if you want the core Traverse experience without paying for the more specialized versions. It gives you the model’s strong technology, roomy utility, and broad standard safety content, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
• Z71: Choose this if you want the most rugged version. It adds off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, a skid plate, red tow hooks, a more capable Twin Clutch AWD system, Terrain mode, hill descent control, and extra ground clearance.
• High Country: This is the upscale choice in the lineup. It suits you if you want the Traverse’s space and tech with a more premium positioning.
• RS: Pick this if you want the sportier-looking trim in the range and prefer style-focused appeal over the more rugged Z71 character.

Every trim comes with the same strong standard safety package, and the available Driver Confidence Package and Enhanced Driving Package add more advanced assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,765 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,009, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $39,339 sits slightly below last year's $40,446.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market appreciation.

The Traverse’s strong technology and family-friendly utility should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a spacious three-row SUV. But the softer pricing trend means you may need to be realistic about how quickly value will recover if you sell in the near term.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2025 Traverse earns a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Traverse includes a long list of standard driver aids: adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, active blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection braking, rear automatic braking, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a Safety Alert Seat.

If you want more advanced assistance, the Driver Confidence Package adds a high-definition surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert. The Enhanced Driving Package goes further with Super Cruise and remote-parking technology.

The main caveat is that some of the most advanced features are not standard on every trim, so you’ll want to verify package content carefully on any used example.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard Trailering Package equipment and a new High Country trim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,217, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,339 average.
• It brought a bigger, more rugged redesign with more standard driver aids and a larger infotainment screen.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It emphasizes a spacious interior, a pleasant ride, and lots of safety equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the newest mix of standard towing capability, tech, and safety content, the 2025 is the primary target. If your budget is tighter, the 2024 offers a lower entry price and many of the same core strengths.
