Used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearBandera, TX

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 11.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,751 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns an expert rating of 7.67/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The redesign gives you a more trucklike look, new standard tech, and new safety features, while also adding a trim aimed at buyers who want more weekend-ready character. The trade-offs are that cargo space is small for the class and the voice assistant can be finicky.

That mix makes the Equinox a sensible pick if you want a compact crossover with a fresh cabin and strong standard equipment rather than the most spacious or most adventurous option. The market also looks supportive, with 36.2% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is presented as a more mature, better-equipped redesign with updated transmissions and standard safety tech, which should help it feel more complete than earlier versions of the model.

Its standard equipment and updated mechanical setup point to a vehicle built for everyday use rather than complexity. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is paired with a CVT in FWD models and an eight-speed automatic in AWD versions, and the eight-speed is described as an improvement over the old six-speed.

Chevy also includes standard wireless smartphone projection, Google Built-In, and a broad safety suite, which adds convenience without making the vehicle feel overcomplicated. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’re still shopping a compact crossover with modest power and some feature-dependent complexity, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering an AWD example or a higher-trim vehicle with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, how the tech works in real use, and whether the cabin and cargo area fit your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the base trim and comes with 17-inch wheels, while the RS adds black mirrors and badges, a larger grille opening, red RS emblems, and standard 19-inch wheels. The ACTIV brings a different look with dark chrome accents, simpler grille inserts, all-terrain tires, and a more adventure-oriented appearance.
• Powertrain: You get a single 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 175 horsepower. FWD models use a CVT, while AWD models use an eight-speed automatic, and AWD also increases torque and towing capacity.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen measures 11.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Google Built-In, wi-fi hotspot capability, and a six-speaker audio system are also standard, while wireless charging is standard on RS and ACTIV and available on LT.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, RS, ACTIV.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the core equipment that makes the Equinox appealing, including standard wireless smartphone projection and Chevy Safety Assist. It also gives you the most affordable path into the redesigned model.
• RS: This is the best fit if you want the sportier look and more upscale visual treatment, with black exterior details, larger standard wheels, and a darker, more dramatic cabin. It also gets standard wireless charging.
• ACTIV: This is the trim to choose if you want the most weekend-ready personality, with all-terrain tires, unique styling, and a more rugged visual theme. It is not a true off-road model, but it does lean furthest into that character.

The available Safety & Technology package can be added to any trim for extra driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

The market looks selective but workable if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,751 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,110, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $26,360 sits slightly below last year's $29,745.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, trim, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Because the Equinox is a redesigned model with strong standard tech and safety content, well-kept examples should remain easier to market than stripped or rough ones. Still, the current price trend shows that you should not assume strong short-term appreciation.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. Teen Driver Technology is also standard, letting you set limits and monitor driving behavior for a secondary key.

The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror for $1,085. That package is the main safety-related upgrade to look for if you want the fullest feature set.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Prices have softened 11.38% compared with last year.
• The redesign brings new standard tech and safety features, plus a more trucklike look.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $28,579, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $26,360 average.
• It adds a standard drive mode selector.

The bottom line: If you want the better value proposition, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong standard equipment and a fresh redesign. If you’re willing to pay more for a slightly newer model year and only need modest updates, the 2026 is the secondary path for buyers who care less about price.
