Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV stands out as a full-size luxury SUV built around space, presence, and high-end features. It offers a massive cabin, a long-wheelbase body, and the kind of upscale interior treatment that has long defined the Escalade ESV name. In this generation, the ESV’s extra length translates into more cargo room than the standard Escalade, and the model also benefits from independent rear suspension, which improves ride and handling while helping cargo capacity.

For 2025, the Escalade ESV received a refresh that brought a 55-inch infotainment screen stretching across the dashboard. That update reinforces the SUV’s tech-forward appeal, especially for buyers who want a dramatic cabin presentation to go with the vehicle’s size and luxury image. The model also continued to offer a turbo-diesel engine until Cadillac dropped that option in 2025, so this year marks a change in the lineup rather than a simple carryover.

Even with its strengths, the Escalade ESV remains a vehicle defined by tradeoffs. Its size is a major advantage for passengers and luggage, but it is still a large, expensive luxury SUV, and the buying guide notes poor fuel economy and poor value for the money among its drawbacks. For shoppers who want maximum interior space, premium materials, and a commanding road presence, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV is distinctive in a way few SUVs can match. 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership, service, and prior damage. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where electronics, suspension, and interior features can be expensive to sort out. Focus on condition details that matter most in a premium family hauler: cabin wear, infotainment operation, tire condition, and evidence of consistent maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you want a 2025 Escalade ESV, because pricing has moved down and there is still enough inventory to compare options.

• Deal availability: 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 734 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $104,769, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $104,769 sits slightly below last year's $117,743.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. For a future seller, the same trend means resale value may remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment level. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and in strong cosmetic shape, you’ll be better positioned to stand out in a market where prices have already softened.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.02% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right pick if you want the refreshed cabin presentation and you value buying into a year with softer pricing and solid inventory quality. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2025 is the stronger choice when you want the updated feel and a market that currently favors buyers.
