Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that leans hard into technology and powertrain variety. BMW positions it as its flagship sedan, and this generation continues that role with a lineup that includes mild hybrids, a plug-in hybrid, and an all-electric model.

For you, that means the 7 Series is aimed at shoppers who want a large luxury sedan with a deeply tech-focused interior, strong engines, and a broad range of electrified choices. It also brings rear-seat comfort and advanced equipment expected of a flagship, while still preserving BMW’s sporting character.

Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series is presented as a flagship sedan with a broad mix of drivetrains and a highly advanced cabin, so it appeals most if you value sophistication and feature depth. Its appeal is strongest for buyers who want a large luxury sedan with strong engines and a wide range of electrified choices.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a complex, high-end sedan can be expensive to keep in top shape over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment and service history match the listing. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the electronics, suspension, and interior features, since this is a highly optioned luxury sedan where condition and proper maintenance matter a lot.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 621 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $80,191, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $80,191 sits slightly below last year's $101,397.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the same trend means you should expect continued value pressure typical of a high-end luxury sedan. The upside is that buying after a sharp price correction can reduce the amount of depreciation you absorb from here.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.91% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $67,192, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $80,191 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option and a lightly updated infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, inventory depth, and a modern flagship experience, the 2025 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2024 is the more price-sensitive path and still brings plenty of luxury appeal.
