Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that leans hard into technology and powertrain variety. BMW positions it as its flagship sedan, and this generation continues that role with a lineup that includes 48-volt mild hybrids, a plug-in hybrid, and a zero-emission all-electric model.

It also brings a distinctly modern cabin, with a 12.3-inch digital cluster paired to a 14.9-inch curved infotainment display, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, in-car gaming, a standard head-up display, quad-zone climate control, USB-C charge ports, front seat massagers, a panoramic glass roof, and an available 31-inch theater screen.

For buyers, that means you’re looking at a flagship sedan that prioritizes rear-seat comfort, advanced equipment, and a broad range of drivetrains. 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that leans hard into technology and powertrain variety. BMW positions it as its flagship sedan, and the model’s appeal is built around a deeply tech-focused interior and a broad lineup of electrified and gas-powered options.

That breadth can be appealing if you want flexibility, but it also means you should expect a complex luxury-car ownership experience. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is tied to the car’s high-end systems and the cost of keeping a flagship sedan in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment and service history match the listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a flagship sedan with advanced electronics and multiple powertrain choices, and focus on overall condition, not just mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $81,198, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $81,198 sits slightly below last year's $99,351.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment because the model sits in a segment where depreciation is already a major factor.

If you plan to sell later, keeping the car well maintained and well documented will matter more than usual. A clean history and strong condition should help you recover more value in a market that has already moved down.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.27% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $68,035, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $81,198 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option and a lightly updated infotainment system.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broad pool of listings, the 2025 is the stronger primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the better value path, especially if you want to spend less while still staying in the same flagship sedan family.
