Used 2025 Acura RDX for Sale nearSan Rafael, CA

How much does the 2025 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,616 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura RDX earns an expert rating of 7.33/10 and is described as a genuine bargain in the compact luxury crossover SUV segment. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

It fits your needs well if you want a compact luxury crossover that is enjoyable to drive, offers strong interior quality, and delivers good safety ratings. The trade-offs are poor fuel economy and frustrating infotainment controls, and the back seat is also called out as uncomfortable.

The market backs up that value story, with 36.8% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura RDX is presented as a familiar, refined version of an established formula rather than a risky redesign, which supports confidence for used buyers. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, and SH-AWD setup are described as a proven combination, and the model’s overall appeal is reinforced by its strong quality, interior space, practicality, and thoughtful details.

The performance write-up also suggests the RDX settles in well over time, with driving impressions improving during a week-long evaluation. Acura’s cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the SUV is pleasing to live with over time if you can accept the infotainment system’s limitations.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you may still be living with the same fuel-thirsty powertrain and frustrating interface that define this generation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, prioritize a thorough test drive, and inspect the cabin tech and seat comfort carefully. Pay close attention to how the infotainment controls feel in motion, whether the back seat works for your needs, and whether the vehicle’s condition matches the premium pricing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup gives you the core RDX formula, while Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance packages add equipment and appearance upgrades. The base model misses some features that appear higher up the range, including navigation, the Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system, low-speed front and rear braking, and the surround-view camera system.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and SH-AWD. The trade-off is fuel economy, since the engine is described as thirsty when you lean on the torque.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Low-speed front and rear braking and a surround-view camera system are reserved for higher trims.
• Infotainment: The dashboard display measures 10.2 inches and is not a touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Alexa Built-in are included, and all versions except the base model have navigation and the Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA fuel economy rating is 23 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2025 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura RDX is offered in 5 trim levels: base, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the RDX’s core turbocharged engine, SH-AWD, and standard AcuraWatch safety suite without paying for extra convenience or luxury features. It makes the most sense if you care more about value than added equipment.
• Technology: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds the equipment most buyers will actually notice day to day, including navigation and the Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system. If you want a more complete luxury experience without jumping to the pricier appearance or comfort-focused trims, this is the one to target.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want the sportier look, including gloss black exterior accents and a more aggressive presentation. It suits you best if style matters more than added comfort, but the content also notes that the A-Spec treatment can make the gauges harder to read.
• Advance: This is the comfort-leaning upgrade, and it adds adaptive damping along with higher-end equipment. It is the better pick if you want a more relaxed, upscale feel and are willing to pay for it.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the most fully equipped version, combining the sportier appearance of A-Spec with the richer content of Advance. It also gets full leather upholstery, making it the top choice if you want the most premium-feeling RDX.

AcuraWatch is standard, while low-speed front and rear braking and the surround-view camera system are reserved for higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,616 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.05% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,134, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $42,134 sits slightly below last year's $45,327.

That price movement suggests the RDX has softened enough to create a better entry point for used buyers. If you buy now and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may benefit from a more favorable purchase price than shoppers had a year ago.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the model’s value remains supported by its strong reputation for value, driving enjoyment, and safety. Even so, the current downward trend means you should expect resale to depend heavily on trim, condition, and mileage.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX safe?

The 2025 Acura RDX earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a five-star overall crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims also offer low-speed front and rear braking and a surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that the lane-assist systems were described as irritating during evaluation, and the adaptive cruise control could struggle to maintain a smooth following distance.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.05% compared with last year.
• The year brings subtle styling updates, a new wireless charging pad, improved Apple CarPlay and Android Auto presentation, and the top A-Spec Advance trim adds full leather upholstery.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation and you value the updated cabin presentation, the 2025 is the right move. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price on the same basic RDX formula, a nearby model year may be the better path.
