How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 10.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,383 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns an 7.83/10 expert rating, and it fits shoppers who want a three-row luxury SUV with simple controls, intuitive technology, and a refined driving experience.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The MDX’s appeal comes through in its stylish design, comfortable cabin, and easy-to-use tech, while the refreshed interior and simplified controls make it feel more modern and approachable. The trade-offs are that fuel economy is poor and the standard V6 is somewhat underwhelming, so it is better suited to you if you value polish and usability over outright efficiency or strong acceleration.

38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura MDX is presented as a polished, dependable-feeling luxury SUV with a refined cabin, straightforward controls, and a comfort-focused driving character.

Its standard V6 and 10-speed automatic are described as tried-and-true, and the SUV’s body motions are smooth and consistent rather than abrupt. The expert evaluation also notes that the MDX behaves with remarkable accuracy and refinement in daily use, which supports confidence for regular commuting and road trips.

Acura’s complimentary maintenance coverage now includes only the first scheduled visit during the first year or 12,000 miles, so you should factor routine upkeep into your ownership budget.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the MDX’s strengths are more about refinement than low running costs, so ownership can feel less rewarding if efficiency matters most.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and whether the vehicle’s features match the trim level you are paying for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model starts with a nicely equipped setup, while Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and A-Spec Advance add more luxury and convenience. The base trim does not get the higher-end audio and some of the richer equipment found higher up the lineup.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-liter V6 makes 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. SH-AWD is optional on the base and Technology trims, standard starting with A-Spec, and lower trims use front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: All MDX models include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with Technology, you also get front and rear parking sensors plus low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also includes AcuraLink connected services and an AT&T 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The MDX is not an efficient SUV, and the expert evaluation says fuel economy is poor. The A-Spec Advance is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 18.4 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 6 trim levels: MDX base, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, A-Spec Advance, and MDX Type S Advance.

Here's the short version:

• MDX base: This is the entry point and is already nicely equipped, making it the value play if you want the refreshed tech and luxury basics without stretching your budget.
• Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more premium equipment and brings front and rear parking sensors plus low-speed automatic braking.
• A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and standard SH-AWD, along with a more expressive appearance than the lower trims.
• Advance: This is the comfort-focused upgrade if you want more luxury features and a richer cabin experience.
• A-Spec Advance: This is the sweet spot for shoppers who want maximum luxury with a sportier look, and it was the test vehicle’s trim.
• MDX Type S Advance: This is the performance-oriented choice, with the most power and the most advanced safety tech, but it sits at the top of the lineup.

The safety package starts with AcuraWatch on all trims, while AcuraWatch 360 is exclusive to the MDX Type S Advance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

The market looks moderately favorable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,383 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,553, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $47,553 sits slightly below last year's $53,408.

That price movement suggests the MDX has softened enough to help used buyers today, but it also means a future seller may face more competition if the market stays loose. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher pricing. The strongest resale position will likely come from well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All MDX models include AcuraWatch features such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with Technology, you also get front and rear parking sensors and low-speed automatic braking.

AcuraWatch 360 is exclusive to the MDX Type S Advance and adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist. The expert evaluation notes that the standard AcuraWatch system performed well overall, though it did produce one false lane-departure notification and struggled with a tricky T-shaped intersection.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and intuitive tech make it the most polished MDX yet.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,365, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $47,553 average.
• It is a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong engines and sharp handling.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the refreshed formula and adds only minor color updates.
• It remains comfortable, easy to use, and good value among rivals.

The bottom line: If you want the most refined and user-friendly MDX, the 2025 is the best all-around pick. If price is your top priority, the 2024 gives you a lower entry point, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the same basic formula with only minor changes.
