The current average of $24,688 sits slightly below last year's $25,396.

That suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you preserve as much value as possible.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota bZ4X or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.79% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,030, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $24,688 average.
• The 2023 blends comfortable ride quality with engaging handling.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and clean listings, the 2024 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the more price-sensitive alternative and still offers a compelling value path.
