How much does the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have softened 6.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 922 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare before you commit.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7.7/10. The model blends retro styling with modern comfort and convenience, and it is aimed at buyers who want heritage-rich character without giving up current features. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The trade-offs are clear: it has no option for a third row, and it costs more than some competitors. That makes it a better fit if you value off-road ability, brand legacy, and updated amenities more than maximum seating or bargain pricing.

There are 35.1% good or great deals in the market, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Land Cruiser is presented as a durable, capability-first SUV with Toyota’s latest hybrid powertrain and standard full-time 4WD, which supports its reputation for serious use. Its off-road hardware and updated systems suggest a vehicle built to handle demanding conditions while still delivering modern convenience.

Toyota’s i-Force MAX hybrid setup pairs a turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor, and the review notes that the transmission and off-road systems stay unobtrusive when the terrain gets rough. If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is paying a premium for a focused SUV that may not suit every household’s space or budget needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has seen trail use or heavy towing. Focus on wear items that can reveal how hard the SUV has been used, and pay close attention to the condition of the cabin, wheels, and underbody.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim uses cloth seats and an 8-inch center display, while the middle trim upgrades to SofTex seating and a 10-speaker sound system; the First Edition adds real leather, unique trim-specific logos, a roof rack, a front skid plate, and mudflaps. The higher trims also add color-selectable fog lights, and the Premium Package brings a moonroof and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: The Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force MAX hybrid powertrain with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 1.87-kWh battery pack, and a 48-hp electric motor for 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. It has an eight-speed automatic transmission, standard full-time 4WD, and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with high and low range.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8-inch center display and a six-speaker sound system. Higher trims get a 12.3-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB-C ports up front, two more in back, and available upgrades such as a 14-speaker JBL premium sound system, a head-up display, and a digital rear-view mirror.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 23 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 3 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser, First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core hybrid powertrain, standard 4WD, and the classic boxy look at the lowest price. It’s the trim to choose if you want the nameplate and capability without paying for the extra comfort and off-road hardware on the upper trims.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds the middle-ground mix of comfort and capability, including SofTex seating, the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, and the Multi-Terrain Monitor. It also unlocks more advanced off-road hardware and is the trim where the Premium Package makes the most sense.
• First Edition: This is the most fully equipped version, with real leather, trim-specific styling, a roof rack, skid plate, mudflaps, and standard access to the most complete feature set. It suits you best if you want the most distinctive and most capable factory setup and are willing to pay for it.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, while the Premium Package adds more driver-assistance content to the middle trim and standardizes it on the First Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a fire sale.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 922 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $59,384, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $59,384 sits slightly below last year's $63,276.

That softer pricing can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively if the market stays loose. The current range suggests the model has already moved off its peak, which can create a better entry point for you today and a more realistic resale expectation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2024 Land Cruiser has not been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It’s the all-new U.S. return of the Land Cruiser, with retro styling and modern off-road hardware.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,690, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $59,384 average.
• It is almost unchanged after the 2024 redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and the fresh redesign, the 2024 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year with minimal change, the 2025 is the simpler alternative.
