How much does the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have softened 6.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

With 948 listings available, you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare across trims and conditions.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model blends retro styling with modern comfort and convenience, while still centering its identity on impressive off-road ability and brand heritage. It is especially appealing if you want a focused two-row SUV that feels both classic and current.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The main trade-offs are that it has no option for a third row and it costs more than some competitors. Even so, the market shows 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser’s hybrid powertrain pairs a turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor, and the expert review describes the setup as delivering strong output with a full-time 4WD system and low-range capability. That combination supports the model’s reputation for durability-minded capability, especially if you plan to use it the way a Land Cruiser is meant to be used.

Toyota also includes a broad standard driver-assistance suite, which adds confidence for everyday driving. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying a premium for a vehicle that is highly capable but still relatively new to the market.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen trail use or towing. Focus on underbody condition, wheel and tire wear, and signs of hard off-road use, since this model’s appeal is tied closely to capability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim uses cloth seats and the simpler 8-inch infotainment setup, while the middle trim upgrades to SofTex seating and a larger 10-speaker audio system. The First Edition adds real leather, a roof rack, a front skid plate, mudflaps, and other off-roader gear, while the Premium Package on the top two trims adds a moonroof and ventilated front seats.
• Powertrain: The Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force MAX hybrid setup with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 1.87-kWh battery pack, and a 48-hp electric motor for 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission, standard full-time 4WD, and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with high and low range.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser comes with a 12.3-inch center touchscreen on the higher trims, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and four USB-C ports total. The base 1958 trim uses an 8-inch display and a six-speaker sound system, while the middle trim gets a 10-speaker system and the Premium Package can upgrade it to a 14-speaker JBL setup with a head-up display and digital rear-view mirror.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 23 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 3 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser, First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core identity at the lowest price. You still get the hybrid powertrain, full-time 4WD, heated front seats, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, but you give up some of the nicer cabin materials and the more advanced tech found higher up.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the more upscale interior, the larger infotainment setup, and the off-road hardware that makes the model especially compelling. It also unlocks the Premium Package, which adds useful comfort and tech upgrades.
• First Edition: This is the most feature-rich version, with leather upholstery, extra off-road equipment, and standard access to the Premium Package content. It makes the most sense if you want the most complete Land Cruiser experience and are willing to pay for it.

The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, and those features are standard on the First Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser?

The market looks moderately favorable if you are a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 948 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $59,652, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $59,652 sits slightly below last year's $63,552.

That softer pricing can work in your favor if you buy now, because you may be entering at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, the current trend suggests there is still some depreciation pressure, but the Land Cruiser’s strong identity and broad appeal should help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2024 Land Cruiser has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

All 2024 Land Cruisers come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-tracing assist, automatic high beams, road-sign assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. The Premium Package adds lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist to the middle trim, while those features are standard on the First Edition.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It returns as an all-new U.S. model with retro styling and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $61,978, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $59,652 average.
• It is almost unchanged after the 2024 redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with minimal change, the 2025 is a reasonable alternative, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2024.
