Yes — the 2024 Toyota Highlander earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a practical, comfort-focused midsize SUV with a long reputation for reliability and family-friendly versatility. You also get strong cargo capacity, upscale styling and interior features, and a well-rounded setup that emphasizes comfort and everyday usefulness. Is the 2024 Toyota Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Toyota Highlander is described as having a long reputation for reliability, and Toyota’s emphasis on safety and everyday usability reinforces that impression. It also carries a strong safety and reliability reputation, which matters if you want a family SUV that should be easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about durability and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and still feels consistent in daily use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the vehicle’s accident and title background, then prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, steering feel, and infotainment operation. Because this model is valued for comfort and practicality, pay close attention to how the cabin, cargo area, and road manners hold up in real use. If possible, test the vehicle on both city streets and highway speeds so you can judge whether it still feels smooth, quiet, and easy to live with.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $39,196 sits slightly above last year's $39,073.

That small increase suggests the Highlander is holding value well rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that remains comfortable with the model’s pricing. The current range also suggests there is still buyer interest at the right price, especially for well-kept examples with clean history and strong presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better path if you want a comfort-focused, practical midsize SUV with stable pricing and strong owner approval. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry price, but the 2024 remains the safer all-around choice when you want a balanced mix of value, reputation, and market stability.
