Used 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander for Sale near Oregon

How much does the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander cost?

Prices have softened 6.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,847 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

It stands out as a bigger, more fuel-efficient alternative to the regular Highlander, with extra room for families and the availability of two hybrid powertrains. It also brings plenty of cargo space and standard advanced safety features, which makes it easy to live with day to day.

The tradeoff is that it is not especially rewarding to drive, and it also has too many subscription-dependent tech features. Even so, for you if space, efficiency, and a broad range of powertrain choices matter most, it has a clear identity.

Cons: Poor handling and too many subscription-dependent tech features.

Market signal: 42.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Grand Highlander is presented as a practical family SUV with Toyota’s reputation for reliability, and its interior is described as well built with materials that should hold up well over time. The standard gas and hybrid powertrains are also positioned as efficient and broadly usable for everyday driving.

Toyota’s reliability reputation and the model’s straightforward three-row crossover mission both point toward a sensible ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core hardware and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and used carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you are considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XLE uses Softex synthetic leather, while the Limited and Platinum upgrade to real leather. The XLE also gets heated front seats, but the Limited and Platinum add ventilation and a heated steering wheel, so base-trim shoppers should make sure the equipment mix fits your needs.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine, a 2.5-liter hybrid, or the Hybrid Max setup. The gas engine makes 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, the hybrid is tuned for efficiency, and the Hybrid Max delivers 362 combined net horsepower and 400 combined net lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise control offers four following-distance settings.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-device Bluetooth connectivity. Connected-services features such as the intelligent assistant and cloud-based navigation require a subscription.
• Fuel efficiency: Gas FWD models return 21 mpg city, 28 highway, and 24 combined, while AWD gas models are rated at 21/27/23 on the XLE and 20/26/22 on the Limited and Platinum. The hybrid XLE returns 36/32/34, the Hybrid Limited with AWD is rated at 35/21/33, and the Hybrid Max comes in at 26/27/27.

Which 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is offered in 3 trim levels: XLE, Limited, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• XLE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a strong equipment base with Softex upholstery, heated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat, an eight-way front passenger seat, and the standard safety suite. It is the best-value choice if you want the Grand Highlander’s core space and efficiency without paying for luxury extras.
• Limited: This trim adds real leather, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the standard JBL 11-speaker stereo. It is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale cabin and better comfort without jumping to the top trim.
• Platinum: This is the most premium version, and it can be equipped with Portobello upholstery when paired with the top-spec engine. Choose it if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core driver-assistance package.

The current average of $44,100 sits slightly below last year's $47,196.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. The Grand Highlander’s broad appeal, family-friendly packaging, and efficiency-focused powertrains should help support demand over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander safe?

It earns 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise system also offers four following-distance settings.

The model has not yet been crash-tested or rated by either NHTSA or IIHS, so there is no crash-test result to cite yet. Even so, the standard safety equipment is a major strength, and it is one of the Grand Highlander’s most compelling selling points.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander or consider a different year?
