Used 2024 Subaru WRX for Sale near Iowa

The Impreza has long been Subaru’s performance halo, with plenty of rally and racing trophies to back that up. However, the most recent update brought the most polarizing styling seen on the car to date, and Subaru ditched the popular STI performance variant. That’s changing–albeit slightly–for 2024. ## What’s New for the 2024 Subaru WRX 2024 sees the introduction of the all-new TR trim to the WRX lineup. Short for "tuner-ready," the model adds desirable performance parts to the base trim level. ## Design The new WRX features prominent black plastic cladding and a body shape that does nothing to hide that. Though it still looks like a WRX, the new car isn’t as cohesively styled as previous versions, and the extensive plastic bodywork cheapens its look considerably. The TR trim adds 19-inch wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires and red brake calipers, and the car comes with a functional hood scoop. Subaru equips a small decklid spoiler, and the car has a sunroof delete to minimize weight on the roof. ## Powertrain Subaru didn’t touch the WRX’s powertrain for 2024, but enthusiasts will be happy about the transmission choice. The car retains the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder, which delivers 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Rather than the continuously variable unit found in the current highest-trim WRX, the new TR comes exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. Subaru’s excellent all-wheel drive (AWD) system remains standard. ## Interior The new WRX TR comes with sport seats wrapped in black and gray Ultrasuede. The front buckets get Recaro stitching, and the cabin features red accent stitching throughout. A power driver’s seat is standard, and the car continues in 2024 with its five-seat configuration. A leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel are standard, along with folding rear seats. ## Technology Subaru equips an 11.6-inch touchscreen running the latest Starlink infotainment system in the 2024 WRX. Bluetooth, SiriusXM, HD radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM Travel Link come standard. Other standard tech includes front USB ports, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, rear USB ports, power windows and door locks, and dual-zone climate controls. ## Safety Subaru EyeSight comes standard on every 2024 WRX, but the TR will be the first to combine a manual transmission with the tech. Automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure alerts, and more come standard, and the TR will likely bring features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts as the range-topping trim. ## Pricing We don’t have full pricing details for the 2024 Subaru WRX as of the time of this writing, but expect the TR trim to slide in with a taller MSRP than its counterparts. The current top-dog GT trim starts at around $44,000, so the TR will likely land with a starting price nearing $50,000. The good news is that Subaru doesn’t go overboard with added-cost options and upgrades, so the price likely won’t climb much from there.
