Yes — the 2024 RAM 3500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview shows a truck that blends serious capability with a cabin and feature set that feel far more modern than a traditional work truck, so it fits well if you want heavy-duty strength without giving up daily-driver comfort. The overview emphasizes a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for the Hemi models, while also highlighting the truck’s modern equipment and heavy-duty capability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about making sure a large, highly capable truck has been maintained carefully and used in a way that matches its demanding job.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially if it was used for towing or hauling. Pay close attention to signs of heavy-duty wear, since a truck with this much capability may have seen demanding use even if it looks clean on the surface. It also makes sense to confirm that the features and equipment you want are working properly, since this model year can be loaded with technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,939 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $57,425, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $57,425 sits slightly below last year's $62,545.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also mean a future resale window depends on how well the truck holds demand. Because this is a heavy-duty truck with strong capability and a modern feature set, buyers who need that combination may continue to support values better than a more ordinary used vehicle. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance strong, you give yourself a better chance of protecting value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and high owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If your main goal is to minimize upfront cost, you can also consider a nearby year, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of value and confidence for a heavy-duty truck shopper.
