Is the 2024 Porsche Taycan a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Porsche Taycan earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is centered on Porsche’s performance-first identity. It combines electric power with sporty handling and braking, while also offering a comfortable ride and multiple body styles. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you value driving character and premium feel more than maximum range or everyday practicality.

With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2024 Porsche Taycan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Taycan is described as a polished, familiar package with strong build quality and a comfortable ride. Its main tradeoffs are average range, a higher price than many rivals, and a cabin layout that lacks buttons and dials. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about basic appeal and more about whether the car’s range and premium running costs fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Porsche Taycan?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and any signs of cosmetic or curb damage. Because this model is a premium EV, you’ll want to focus on overall condition and maintenance consistency as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Porsche Taycan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 524 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $90,646, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Porsche Taycan's resale value?

The current average of $90,646 sits slightly below last year's $95,587.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the Taycan’s premium positioning and enthusiast appeal should help it hold attention, especially when the car is well kept and presented cleanly. The softer pricing trend also means future buyers may be more value-conscious, so condition and documentation will matter.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche Taycan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $78,154, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $90,646 average.
• It offers Porsche character with strong build quality and more versatility than you might expect.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with strong market availability and a softer price trend, the 2024 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter path and still gives you the core Taycan experience.
