You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. The current average of $143,602 sits slightly below last year's $148,850.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy with less pressure today. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you preserve as much value as possible. A well-kept example bought near the lower end of the range should give you a better position when it’s time to resell.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche 718 Boxster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.53% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year market with a meaningful share of deal-priced listings and strong accident-free availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, mileage, and asking price.
