Used 2024 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearPunta Gorda, FL

How much does the 2024 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 7.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,490 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra a good car?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a mixed but appealing compact sedan if you want value, comfort, and straightforward everyday use rather than a feature-packed or especially modern cabin. It earns a user rating of 3.7/5 and an expert rating of 7.00/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

Its refreshed styling gives it a more current look, and the overall package is positioned as an honest compact sedan that does not try to be something it is not. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, the technology feels behind some rivals, and the safety picture is uneven.

For shoppers who want a practical commuter with a comfortable ride and strong value, that balance may work well. The market also shows 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which supports its value-oriented case.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra reliable?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is built around a simple gas powertrain and a comfort-first driving character, which helps keep ownership straightforward. Its expert review describes it as an honest compact sedan with a decent amount of feature content and an inoffensive driving experience at a reasonable price.

The performance notes point to a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission that was reengineered for smoother operation and better fuel efficiency. The cost-effectiveness notes also mention Nissan’s three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage, which are in line with other Japanese brands.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s value proposition depends on staying within its comfort-and-commuter lane, so condition and maintenance history matter more than chasing performance or premium features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title and accident-free past can make a meaningful difference in a used compact sedan. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with visible wear, and pay close attention to cabin condition, infotainment operation, and how the car drives at low speeds and on the highway.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, and SR grades, with the base S getting 16-inch steel wheels, while the SV adds 16-inch alloy wheels and the SR gets 18-inch wheels plus model-specific styling elements. The base trim also has the most basic tech setup, so you should expect fewer convenience features there.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. Nissan says the CVT was reengineered for smoother operation and better fuel efficiency, and the car is tuned more for comfort and efficiency than for performance.
• Safety package: Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera is available with the Premium Package.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a single front USB port, and a four-speaker audio system. SV and SR models upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM compatibility, a front USB-C port, and a charge-only USB-A port.
• Fuel efficiency: Sentra S and SV models are rated at 34 mpg combined, 30 mpg city, and 40 mpg highway. Sentra SR models are rated at 33 mpg combined, 30 mpg city, and 37 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value-first choice if you want the lowest entry point and can live with the most basic equipment. It still gives you the core safety suite, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the Sentra’s comfort-focused driving character.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds alloy wheels, a larger touchscreen, a larger instrument display, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM compatibility, extra USB connectivity, and available leather upholstery and a moonroof. It also can be paired with the Premium Package for more convenience features.
• SR: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive look, with 18-inch wheels, model-specific styling, and red-orange accent stitching. It also can be equipped with the Premium Package, but it is more about appearance and added equipment than a major change in the Sentra’s core mission.

SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and the Premium Package can bring a 360-degree camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,490 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,979, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $17,979 sits slightly below last year's $19,464.

That price movement suggests the Sentra is currently sitting in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry cost, but a future seller should expect resale value to depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim choice.

Because the model has already moved down in price, a clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with visible wear or missing equipment. For you, that means buying the right trim and keeping documentation matters if you want to protect value later.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra received a Good rating in the IIHS’ original side-impact crash test, but only an Acceptable rating in the updated version, and it also received a Poor headlight rating. It earns five-star ratings in rollover and side crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera is available with the Premium Package.

The main caution is that the available crash-test picture is mixed, so you should not assume every version of the car delivers the same safety performance. If safety is a top priority, pay close attention to trim equipment and the specific test results that apply to the car you are considering.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.63% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model gets refreshed styling and mechanical changes aimed at improving fuel economy, while keeping the Sentra’s value-focused mission intact.

The 2024 is the right pick if you want the updated look and the current-year mix of comfort, value, and efficiency. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2024’s softer pricing and strong inventory make it a sensible target if you find a clean example.
