Used 2024 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

How much does the 2024 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 7.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,386 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra a good car?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a solid value-focused compact sedan if you want comfort and style more than the latest tech or rear-seat space, with a user rating of 3.7/5 and an expert rating of 7.00/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out for refreshed styling, a comfortable cabin, and an everyday-driving mission that stays practical rather than flashy. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, and the technology feels dated compared with rivals.

With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra reliable?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra’s reliability story is best understood as practical and straightforward rather than especially robust, with a focus on efficiency and everyday use.

Nissan’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder and CVT setup are tuned for smooth, efficient commuting, and the updated transmission is described as smoother while improving fuel economy. The car’s driving character is calm and predictable, which supports low-stress ownership for routine use.

Nissan also adds an engine start-stop system for 2024 to help boost mpg, and the warranty coverage is in line with other Japanese brands. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s value proposition depends on staying ahead of maintenance and avoiding examples that have been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin electronics, the transmission’s behavior, and overall wear, especially if you want the car’s value-oriented appeal to hold up over time.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, and SR, and the base S is the most stripped-down version with a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, steel wheels, and no wireless smartphone integration. The SV adds more convenience and a more upscale feel, while the SR brings 18-inch wheels and model-specific styling; the SV and SR are the trims that can add leather upholstery and a moonroof, and the SR can also get the black roof.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, front-wheel drive, and a CVT. Nissan says the updated CVT is reengineered for smoother operation and better fuel efficiency, and the car also adds engine start-stop for 2024.
• Safety package: Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera is available with the Premium Package.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a single front USB port, and a four-speaker audio system. SV and SR models upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM compatibility, a front USB-C port, and a charge-only USB-A port; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Sentra S and SV models are rated at 34 mpg combined, with 30 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. Sentra SR models improve to 33 mpg combined, 30 mpg city, and 37 mpg highway.

Which 2024 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value-first choice if you want the lowest entry point and can live with the most basic equipment. It still gives you the core safety tech, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the Sentra’s comfortable everyday driving character, but it is the most obviously stripped-down trim.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more polished feel with alloy wheels, a larger touchscreen, a larger instrument display, and available leather upholstery and a moonroof. It also can be paired with the Premium Package, which adds more convenience and tech.
• SR: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive look, with 18-inch wheels, model-specific styling, and available black roof treatment. It makes the Sentra feel more expressive, but the core appeal still comes from style and features rather than performance.

SV and SR models also add adaptive cruise control, and the Premium Package can bring a 360-degree camera.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,386 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,912, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $17,912 sits slightly below last year's $19,411.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has the desirable trim and equipment buyers want.

Because the model is already priced below its year-ago average, future depreciation may be less painful if you buy well and keep the car in clean condition. A well-kept example with strong service history should be easier to move than one with visible wear or missing features.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra received a top “Good” rating in the IIHS’ original side-impact crash test, but only an “Acceptable” rating in the updated version, and it also received a “Poor” headlight rating. The Sentra received five-star ratings in rollover and side crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera is available with the Premium Package.

The mixed crash-test picture is the main caution here, especially the weaker IIHS headlight result and the incomplete NHTSA coverage for the model year.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.72% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model stands out for refreshed styling and improved fuel economy, while keeping the Sentra’s value-first mission intact.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with updated styling and slightly better efficiency, the 2024 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but you should still focus on condition and equipment rather than year alone.
