Used 2024 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2024 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 13.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,781 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.2/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

The Rogue’s refreshed styling and tech overhaul give it a more modern feel, and the available Platinum cabin adds an upscale touch. It also stands out for its impressive technology and powerful engine, which are two of its clearest strengths.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the ride quality is described as poor, and overall performance is only fairly pedestrian. That means you may like it most if you value daily comfort, cabin polish, and tech more than sporty driving.

39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue’s powertrain is described as a true engineering curiosity, and its VC-Turbo setup is presented as a clever way to balance power and fuel economy depending on the situation. The model also comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps frame the ownership experience.

Its standard equipment and mainstream mechanical layout suggest a familiar ownership path, but the CVT and the firm ride are worth paying attention to if you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time. For used buyers, that means long-term risk is more about condition and maintenance history than about any single standout flaw.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, suspension feel, and cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day experience. If you’re comparing trims, pay close attention to which features are standard versus reserved for higher grades.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum models. Base Rogue S models get 17-inch wheels, while SV models add new 18-inch wheels and more premium interior materials on nearly every surface. SL and Platinum models move up to the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, and Platinum adds leather seats, quilted stitching, and more exterior trim detail.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder VC-Turbo engine with 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a CVT, standard front-wheel drive, and available all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic emergency braking. ProPilot Assist is standard on SV and a more advanced version is standard on SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: S and SV models come with an 8-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SL and Platinum models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Amazon Alexa connectivity, and Google built-in apps.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue is expected to deliver about 33 mpg combined for S and SV models with FWD, 31 mpg combined with AWD, and slightly lower ratings for SL and Platinum models.

Which 2024 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Rogue’s core powertrain, standard safety tech, and basic infotainment without the higher-end cabin and screen upgrades. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the larger display and premium touches.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds upgraded interior materials, a larger wheel design, and the standard ProPilot Assist system. It also keeps the Rogue’s everyday usefulness intact while adding meaningful comfort and tech.
• SL: This trim is the step up if you want the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, and the more advanced driver-assist setup. It suits you if tech matters more than keeping the price down.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale choice, with leather seats, quilted stitching, more exterior trim detail, and the most premium cabin presentation. It’s the one to choose if you want the Rogue to feel as refined as possible.

The safety package is strongest on SV, SL, and Platinum because ProPilot Assist is standard there, while the base S does not get that system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Rogue?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,781 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,811, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $20,811 sits slightly below last year's $24,070.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you may have less downside than someone who bought when prices were higher. The model’s broad appeal and strong user satisfaction can also help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2024 Rogue received top “Good” ratings in the small-overlap front crash test on both the driver and passenger side, the original-format moderate-overlap front test, and the original side-impact test, plus an “Acceptable” rating in the updated side-impact test from IIHS. It also earns five-star ratings in side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover and frontal crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic emergency braking. ProPilot Assist is standard on the SV trim level, while SL and Platinum get a more advanced version that can use navigation data to help slow for curves and interchanges.

The main caveat is that adaptive cruise control is only available on higher trim levels, so the base model leaves some convenience and assistance features off the standard list.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings refreshed styling and a Google built-in tech overhaul.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,949, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $20,811 average.
• It offers a comfortable, safety-focused compact crossover with useful standard equipment.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $23,230, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $20,811 average.
• It adds Rock Creek adventure gear and a more advanced highway driving assist system.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing and updated tech, the 2024 is the strongest starting point. If you’re shopping strictly on value, the 2023 may still make sense, but the 2024’s softer pricing and refreshed features give it the edge for most buyers. If you want the newest features and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
