There are 1,002 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Nissan LEAF a good car?

The 2024 Nissan LEAF sits in the second generation of Nissan’s electric hatchback, and its appeal is rooted in how much usable EV hardware it offers without losing sight of value. In this generation, Nissan gave the LEAF a larger battery that could deliver up to 150 miles of range and a more powerful drivetrain rated at 147 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. It also came with a 6.6-kW onboard charger, and Nissan said that on a Level 2 charger the battery pack could charge in about eight hours.

The LEAF also brings useful everyday equipment, including the e-Pedal system for one-pedal driving, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Nissan Safety Shield 360. That makes it a practical fit if you want an affordable EV with familiar tech and straightforward commuting ability rather than a flashy long-range electric car.

Deal availability: 56.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Nissan LEAF reliable?

The 2024 Nissan LEAF’s appeal is tied to value, comfort, and everyday usability. It is described as an excellent value for money, comfortable, and quiet inside, which makes it a sensible choice if you want an approachable EV for routine driving.

Its strengths are balanced by some limitations, though, including pedestrian performance and older charging tech compared with newer EVs. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that range and charging convenience may feel more limiting as your needs grow beyond short daily trips.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan LEAF?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s accident and title history before you commit. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on battery condition, charging behavior, and overall wear, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. Pay close attention to how the car presents in person, especially if you plan to rely on it for daily commuting.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan LEAF?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 56.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,002 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.10% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 95.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan LEAF's resale value?

The current average of $19,447 sits slightly above last year's $18,503.

That price movement suggests the LEAF has held value reasonably well for a used EV in this segment. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a decent shot at preserving value relative to the broader market. The current pricing also suggests that well-kept examples can still command meaningful interest from shoppers looking for an affordable electric hatchback.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan LEAF or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 56.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.10% year-over-year.

The bottom line: the 2024 LEAF makes the most sense if you want a value-focused EV with useful standard equipment and a healthy pool of listings to shop from. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is a strong primary target when you want a straightforward used EV with broad market availability.
