Hyundai offers a more-powerful 201-horsepower version, but both get 188 pound-feet of torque. The range adds up to 197 miles in the base powertrain configuration and 260 miles with the more-powerful setup. There should be no expectation of thrilling performance with either setup, as the Kona’s acceleration is leisurely, no matter how it’s configured. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes around 43 minutes on a Level 3 fast charger and up to six hours on a Level 2 charger. ## Interior Hyundai gave the Kona’s interior a significant glow-up for 2024. The materials quality is better and the design is more appealing, and Hyundai retained the car’s excellent interior space. The gear selector and other controls have been moved to the steering column and center stack, clearing the console for storage space. Two enormous cupholders and a large storage cubby now occupy the center console, and the Kona’s door pockets offer additional large storage spaces. ## Technology The 2024 Kona Electric gets dual 12.3-inch displays, including a configurable digital gauge cluster and a large center touchscreen.
