Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the Frontier’s appeal comes from its rugged styling, practical work-ready personality, and broad trim mix. The 2024 model also adds useful equipment and capability, including a more refined SL trim, available off-road hardware, and a tow rating that rises to 7,150 lbs. Is the 2024 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Frontier’s standard equipment and straightforward truck setup support confidence for everyday use, and its available safety and convenience features make it feel well equipped for the class. Its work-ready personality and established third-generation design also suggest a familiar ownership experience rather than a risky one.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck has been maintained well, since condition and prior use matter a lot in a pickup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Frontier?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s past use matches your needs, especially if you plan to tow or use it off-road. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and interior wear, since those areas can reveal how hard the truck has been used. Focus on overall condition and equipment function so you know you’re getting the features and capability you expect.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,847, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,415 average.
• It feels established and value-focused with useful updates.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $34,859, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $32,415 average.
• It adds more standard safety tech and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best primary choice if you want a balanced mix of price, capability, and equipment. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
