Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport a good car?

The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is one of the longest-running models in the subcompact crossover class, and that long life has helped make it a familiar, straightforward choice. It remains one of the most affordable options in the segment, and its appeal is rooted in practicality rather than flash. You get standard all-wheel drive, easy parking and driving manners, and a long list of available trim-level features, including an 8-inch touchscreen on higher trims, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats, and push-button start.

That makes it a sensible fit if you want an affordable AWD crossover with useful equipment and a simple ownership experience. 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport reliable?

The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport’s long production run has helped make it a familiar, straightforward choice, and later examples have a reputation for solid reliability. Its appeal is rooted in practicality rather than flash, with standard all-wheel drive and easy driving manners supporting everyday use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a well-priced example can still come with the compromises of an older design, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently, since the best value will usually come from a clean, well-kept example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,449 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,811, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport's resale value?

The current average of $17,811 sits slightly below last year's $19,870.

That price trend suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Clean condition and strong maintenance records should matter more if you want to protect resale value.

Should I buy a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.36% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right path if you want the familiar Outlander Sport formula with standard AWD, a practical feature set, and a lower used price. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
