Used 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport for Sale Nationwide

As the brand’s best-seller, the Outlander Sport is an important model for Mitsubishi. The 2021 model year sees modest updates for the crossover, as it receives new standard safety features, a new special edition, and a new trim level. Mitsubishi offers the Outlander Sport in a staggering six trim levels for the 2021 model year, most of which come standard with front-wheel drive (FWD). Those trims include 2.0 S 2WD, 2.0 ES 2WD, 2.0 LE 2WD, 2.0 BE 2WD, and 2.0 SE 2WD. The range-topping 2.4 GT AWC is the only model that gets all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard equipment. All others can be upgraded with AWD except for the base S trim. The Limited Edition is brand new for the 2021 model year. It’s based on the ES trim and adds black exterior trim, black 18-inch wheels, red interior accent stitching, and sporty touches inside. The new Black Edition trim gets several of the same blacked-out exterior trim pieces, as well as black 18-inch wheels with red accents, special badging, and its own exclusive set of colors. Mitsubishi Outlander Sport models equipped with the 2.0-liter engine see 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. That power reaches either the front or all four wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The optional 2.4-liter engine produces 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. It’s also paired with a CVT, and comes only with AWD. Inside, the base S and ES trims get a 7-inch touchscreen and a four-speaker audio system. Every other trim comes with an 8-inch screen that runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The larger unit also comes with SiriusXM radio and steering wheel voice recognition controls. Top trims get a smart entry system with a push-button start. Mitsubishi says that its focus for the new Outlander Sport is safety, and has backed up that claim with a new standard safety package that includes forward collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and automatic high beam headlights. Rain-sensing headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, and automatic headlights are also standard. The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is on sale now. The entry-level 2.0 S 2WD trim starts at $22,335, which includes a non-removable $145 floor mat option and a $1,195 destination fee. The step-up 2.0 ES trim starts at $24,335 after destination and floor mats, but it can be upgraded with all-wheel drive for a total price of $25,885. The range-topping 2.4 GT AWC trim starts at $28,525.
