How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 10.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,331 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the luxurious feel, sporty performance, stylish design, and high-quality features. The GLE also stands out for its broad range of powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid option that helps it balance performance and efficiency.

The trade-offs are worth noting: handling is fairly pedestrian, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the GLE’s polished cabin and family-friendly layout make it a strong fit if you want a premium midsize SUV with flexibility.

With 36.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to keep shopping competitive.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as luxurious and sporty, and they also point to high-quality features that support a dependable ownership experience. The plug-in hybrid powertrain is presented as a strong long-term fit because it blends performance with efficiency, and the gas-electric transition is described as smooth and seamless.

The maintenance and ownership picture is less carefree, though, because drivers also worry about expensive upkeep and depreciation. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term risk is not basic durability so much as higher running costs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or heavily optioned example. Focus on cabin condition, electronics, and whether the features you want are actually present, since equipment can vary meaningfully by trim and package.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 580, AMG GLE 53, AMG GLE 63 S, and GLE 450e. The base setup is already well equipped, but the cabin and exterior details become more upscale as you move up, and the AMG Line package adds a sportier look.
• Powertrain: You get a 255-horsepower entry engine, a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder, a 4.0-liter V8, and a plug-in hybrid setup that delivers 381 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque in hybrid mode. The plug-in hybrid is the efficiency standout, with up to 48 miles of all-electric range claimed.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring is standard, while the Driver Assistance Package Plus adds active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, and lane-change assist. Those advanced features are not standard, so check the build sheet carefully.
• Infotainment: The GLE uses a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch MBUX screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system also supports augmented reality navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 58 MPGe in hybrid mode and 24 mpg on gasoline alone. The GLE 350 is rated at 23 mpg combined, the GLE 450 at 22 mpg combined, and the GLE 580 at 17 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 6 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 580, AMG GLE 53, AMG GLE 63 S, and GLE 450e.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the value-oriented starting point if you want the GLE experience without stretching too far. It gives you the core luxury-SUV formula and makes the most sense if you care more about comfort and prestige than maximum output.
• GLE 450: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds more power and a stronger all-around feel without jumping all the way to the pricier performance models. It suits you if you want a more polished daily driver.
• GLE 580: Choose this if you want the V8 and are willing to pay for it. It’s the most powerful non-AMG option and is aimed at buyers who want maximum straight-line punch.
• AMG GLE 53: This is the entry point if you want the AMG badge and a more performance-focused character. It’s for shoppers who care more about driving excitement than efficiency.
• AMG GLE 63 S: This is the top performance choice in the lineup. It’s the one to consider if you want the most aggressive version and are shopping at the high end of the range.
• GLE 450e: This is the standout for efficiency-minded luxury buyers. It combines strong performance with impressive electric range, making it the most compelling choice if you can charge at home and want lower fuel use.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard, but the more advanced driver-assistance features require the Driver Assistance Package Plus.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and price movement to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,423, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $55,423 sits slightly below last year's $61,763.

That decline suggests the market has already absorbed some of the model’s depreciation, which can help future sellers if prices stabilize. It also means today’s buyers may be entering at a more favorable point than shoppers did a year ago.

Because the GLE still has strong appeal as a luxury midsize SUV, demand should remain healthy if the vehicle is well maintained and properly equipped. Higher ownership costs can weigh on resale, but strong buyer interest in the model helps support values over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE has not received an overall or frontal crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but it earned a five-star rating for a side crash and four-out-of-five stars for a rollover.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard, and the Driver Assistance Package Plus adds active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, and lane-change assist. Those features work well, but they cost extra, so you should verify whether a used example includes the package.

The IIHS gave the GLE its top “Good” score in crashworthiness, crash avoidance and mitigation, and seat belts and child restraints. Cars equipped with Mercedes’ Digital Light package earned an “Acceptable” headlight rating.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.

• It offers a refined, practical luxury-SUV feel with strong ride quality and agile handling.

Consider the 2025 if:
