How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices have softened 4.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 845 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for its iconic military-inspired shape, modern luxury, and serious off-road capability, while also giving you MBUX infotainment with dual 12.3-inch displays and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want a luxury SUV that feels unmistakable and highly capable rather than conventional, this model year fits that use case well. 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 G-Class is described as a high-end SUV with strong four-wheel-drive capability and modern tech, which supports confidence in everyday use and off-road duty. Its appeal is tied to durability-minded capability as much as luxury, but the ownership experience still comes with the realities of a complex, expensive SUV. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that high purchase price and costly upkeep can make even small issues expensive to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report so you can confirm title status, prior damage, and service records. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, suspension, electronics, and any signs of off-road wear, since this SUV is often bought for capability as much as image. Focus on overall condition and maintenance quality, because a premium vehicle like this can be costly to refresh if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 845 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $177,309, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $177,309 sits slightly below last year's $185,151.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. Because the model still carries strong desirability and a distinctive identity, well-kept examples should continue to attract attention. If you buy at the right price and maintain the vehicle well, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $191,214, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $177,309 average.
• It adds updated powertrains and tech.

The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want the strongest mix of price and availability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 gives you a lower entry point while still delivering the G-Class experience, and that makes it the smarter path for most shoppers.
