How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE cost?

Prices have softened 5.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 391 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE a good car?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE earns an expert rating of 7.2/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It’s a strong fit if you want a luxury coupe or convertible that emphasizes comfort, easy-to-use tech, and driving enjoyment over pure practicality. The CLE’s design and execution help it feel special, and the cabin materials are a highlight, but the trade-off is limited cargo space. On the performance side, the base powertrain is smooth and quiet, while the stronger versions add more speed without losing the CLE’s comfort-first character.

One trade-off is that the CLE is not as sporty as some BMW or Audi alternatives. Another is that the AMG version asks you to give up some ride comfort in exchange for more edge.

33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE reliable?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE is presented as a well-rounded new model with a comfort-first setup, smooth powertrains, and a cabin that feels polished and refined. Its standard 48-volt mild-hybrid system and quiet operation support the impression of a thoughtfully engineered luxury car.

The performance content also points to an easygoing character: the base engine is described as unusually smooth and quiet, and the suspension handles bumps well while staying composed in corners. The cost-effectiveness content adds that the CLE fills the role of the models it replaces without leaving you wanting for rivals, which reinforces the sense that it’s built to do its job well.

Mercedes also includes a first scheduled maintenance visit on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a luxury coupe with limited practicality can be less forgiving if you need maximum everyday versatility.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment matches the listing, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing because the CLE’s appeal depends heavily on condition, technology function, and how well the luxury features have been maintained. Pay close attention to cabin wear, infotainment operation, and any signs that the car has been used hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CLE is available as either a coupe or Cabriolet (convertible), and the AMG CLE 53 adds a more aggressive look with a wider stance, wider fender flares, and a racier front end. The base model is the most comfort-focused choice, while the AMG version is for buyers who want more performance character and are willing to give up some ride comfort.
• Powertrain: The CLE 300 4Matic uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, while the CLE 450 4Matic steps up to a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. The AMG CLE 53 uses the same six-cylinder formula with much more output and a driver-actuated overboost function.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, parking proximity sensors, a blind-spot monitor, a semi-automated parking system, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, cross-traffic collision alert, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, an integrated dashcam, and a low-level automated highway driving system are available.
• Infotainment: The CLE uses an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports voice control through “Hey Mercedes,” and augmented reality navigation is available.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE is offered in 3 trim levels: CLE 300 4Matic, CLE 450 4Matic, AMG CLE 53.

Here's the short version:

• CLE 300 4Matic: This is the best-value choice if you want the CLE’s comfort, smoothness, and luxury tech without paying for extra power you may not need. It should satisfy most drivers, and it keeps the CLE’s core appeal intact.
• CLE 450 4Matic: This is the sweet spot if you want the strongest balance of smoothness and added performance. The extra power is noticeable, and the review specifically prefers it over the base powertrain.
• AMG CLE 53: Choose this if you want the most aggressive version of the CLE and are willing to trade some ride comfort for more performance and a louder, edgier personality.

Standard safety equipment is comprehensive, while additional driver-assistance features remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 391 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,223, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE's resale value?

The current average of $55,227 sits slightly below last year's $58,566.

That price movement suggests the CLE has softened enough to help used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy near the current average, you’re starting from a lower base than last year’s market. That can help limit depreciation pressure if the model stays desirable.

For resale, the CLE’s strongest advantage is its broad appeal as a stylish luxury coupe or convertible. The main risk is that limited practicality can narrow the buyer pool when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE safe?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE has no crash test results listed yet from either IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, parking proximity sensors, a blind-spot monitor, a semi-automated parking system, automatic high beams, and a driver attention monitor. Available features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, cross-traffic collision alert, evasive steering assist, a surround-view camera system, an integrated dashcam, and a low-level automated highway driving system.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• The 2024 stands out as an all-new model that replaces both the C- and E-Class coupes and convertibles with excellent results.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $63,303, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,227 average.
• It adds four seats, three trims, and a more modern identity.

The bottom line: the 2024 is the better value if you want the CLE’s core luxury-coupe appeal at a lower used price. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year perspective and broader trim context, the 2025 is worth a look.
