Used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,640 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — with a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, you’re looking at a compact car that stands out for its upscale feel and polished driving character. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is sold as a sedan or hatchback, with front- or all-wheel drive and naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines, so you can tailor it to your priorities. Its styling is a major strength, and the driving dynamics are described as excellent, which helps it feel more premium than many mass-market rivals.

The main trade-offs are a confusing trim structure, limited cargo space, and a cramped rear seat. If you care more about design and driving enjoyment than maximum practicality, that balance can work well for you.

36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is presented as a refined compact car that feels more upscale than many rivals, and its strong safety performance supports confidence in everyday use. Its standard equipment and available turbocharged setup suggest a well-rounded ownership experience, especially if you value a car that feels polished rather than basic.

The performance content also points to a broad range of configurations, including naturally aspirated and turbocharged powertrains, which gives you flexibility when choosing a used example. If you want a used compact car with a premium feel, the main long-term risk is that the more desirable trims can be expensive to buy and may be harder to find in the exact configuration you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin, rear-seat space, cargo area, and the condition of the infotainment and driver-assistance features. If you’re comparing trims, make sure the equipment level matches what you expect, since the lineup can be confusing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is split between sedan and hatchback body styles, and the hatchback offers a hatchback-exclusive S Premium trim. The hatchback is the better pick if you want more usable storage space and better appointments without moving up to the turbo engine.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the S trims and a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the Carbon Turbo and Turbo Premium Plus trims. Front-wheel drive is standard on lower trims, while all-wheel drive comes on the higher trims.
• Safety package: Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go are standard. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.8-inch display, while the top two trims get a 10.25-inch screen. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are included on Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.
• Fuel efficiency: The naturally aspirated front-wheel-drive setup returns 27 mpg city and 37 highway in sedans, 27 city and 35 highway in hatchbacks, and the turbocharged setup returns 23 city and 32 highway in sedans and 23 city and 31 highway in hatchbacks.

Which 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Mazda3 lineup, but it’s also the trim where you’ll feel the biggest feature gap versus the richer upper trims.
• S Select Sport: This is the best-value starting point if you want a more complete everyday setup without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel while staying with the naturally aspirated engine and lower running-cost setup.
• S Carbon Edition: This is the trim to target if you want a stronger mix of style and equipment, plus all-wheel drive.
• Carbon Turbo: Pick this if you want the turbocharged engine and a more performance-oriented feel without going all the way to the top trim.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the most fully equipped choice, with the strongest feature set and the most premium presentation.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, and Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,640 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,379, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $21,387 sits slightly below last year's $23,751.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell later. For a future seller, the current trend points to a model that is still desirable, but not immune to broader depreciation pressure.

If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be able to limit some of that loss. The trims with stronger equipment and broader appeal should be easier to move than a less desirable configuration.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a 2024 Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go are standard. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support, which combines adaptive cruise with smart steering assistance for heavy traffic.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines upscale styling with excellent driving dynamics and a wide range of configurations.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,053, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,387 average.
• It emphasizes luxury-like feel and hatchback practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,656, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,387 average.
• It adds value with new equipment and updated trim content.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong safety, and premium character, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2023 can still make sense, but the 2024’s softer pricing gives you a compelling reason to shop this year first.
