How much does the 2024 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 4.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,840 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Mazda positions this small crossover as a stylish, refined alternative to more ordinary subcompact SUVs, and the data backs that up with strong safety credentials and rewarding driving dynamics. It also fits buyers who want a premium-feeling cabin and a more engaging drive than many rivals in the class.

The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat room is tight, cargo space is limited, and the turbocharged version is less appealing if you care about fuel economy. Even so, the CX-30’s blend of style, refinement, and performance makes it a compelling choice if you want a small SUV that feels more upscale than its price suggests.

41.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 CX-30 is presented as a well-rounded small crossover with strong safety, appealing design, and a premium-feeling interior, all of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership. Its standard all-wheel drive and broad feature set also point to a vehicle built to handle regular use without feeling stripped down.

The performance notes emphasize smooth power delivery, a traditional six-speed automatic, and a standard AWD system that helps the CX-30 feel composed and easy to live with. On the cost side, the standard engine is the better choice if you want decent gas mileage, while the turbocharged version is the one to avoid if fuel costs matter to you.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a turbo model when you want lower running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda CX-30?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a turbo model. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake feel, and whether the cabin electronics and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CX-30 lineup spans eight versions, with the standard models emphasizing style, refinement, and a premium-feeling interior, while the turbo models add more power and upscale equipment. Base trims are the ones most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about the larger screen or richer amenities.
• Powertrain: The standard 191-horsepower four-cylinder is the better pick if you want decent gas mileage, while the turbocharged four-cylinder delivers up to 250 hp and stronger performance. The turbo is more rewarding to drive, but it also brings worse fuel economy.
• Safety package: Every version gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat alert system, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.
• Infotainment: Turbocharged versions get a 10.25-inch infotainment display, while other models use an 8.8-inch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the larger screen adds touchscreen functionality when you use those smartphone-mirroring platforms.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged engine is rated at 25 mpg in combined driving, and the standard engine is the better choice if fuel economy matters more to you.

Which 2024 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 8 trim levels: CX-30 2.5 S, CX-30 2.5 Turbo, Select Sport, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• CX-30 2.5 S: This is the smart starting point if you want the CX-30’s style, refinement, and standard all-wheel drive without paying for turbo power. It gives you the core experience at the lowest end of the lineup, and it makes the most sense if you care more about value and fuel economy than extra performance.
• CX-30 2.5 Turbo: Choose this if you want the strongest acceleration and the more rewarding driving character. It’s the better fit if you’re willing to spend more on gas for more power.
• Select Sport: This new trim adds another step up in equipment and helps broaden the lineup for shoppers who want a more appealing middle ground.
• Carbon Turbo: This is the best-value choice if you want turbo power plus a more distinctive look and a richer-feeling setup without going all the way to the top trim.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the one to buy if you want the most complete CX-30, including the most advanced safety and convenience features.

The safety package expands as you move up the lineup, with adaptive headlights on higher trims and the most advanced driver-assistance features reserved for the Turbo Premium Plus.

• Inventory: There are 4,840 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,222, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $23,291 sits slightly below last year's $24,500.

That price movement suggests the CX-30 has become a little more buyer-friendly in the near term, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if your vehicle lacks desirable equipment or has higher mileage.

The CX-30’s strong safety reputation, premium feel, and broad appeal should help support demand over time. Well-kept examples with the right trim and features are likely to remain easier to sell than more ordinary small crossovers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2024 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment except rollover resistance, where it gets a four-star rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-seat alert system, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims add adaptive headlights, and the top Turbo Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and Cruising and Traffic Support.

One caveat from testing is that the automatic curve speed reduction technology can feel too aggressive.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 41.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds new Select Sport and Carbon Turbo trims, USB-C charging ports, and an available larger infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,487, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $23,291 average.
• It offers an appealing design, a classy interior, and enjoyable driving dynamics.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better all-around pick if you want the newest features, strong safety, and a softer market. If you’re focused mainly on price, the 2023 is still worth a look, but the 2024’s lower average price and added equipment make it the more compelling default choice.
