Used 2024 Lucid Air for Sale near Idaho

Is the 2024 Lucid Air a good car?

The 2024 Lucid Air earns a 7.8/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The 2024 model is positioned as a luxury electric sedan that pairs serious range with a polished, stylish feel, and the expert verdict says it delivers speed, style, and superior range without needing to make excuses as an EV. It is also described as fun to drive and as a complete luxury sedan from top to bottom, which fits the car’s use case if you want a long-range EV that can serve as your only car with home charging.

The trade-offs are real, though: the Sapphire trim’s interior disappoints, and the controls for basic features are unintuitive. Even with those drawbacks, the market signal is still healthy, with 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Lucid Air reliable?

The 2024 Lucid Air is presented as a well-developed EV with a strong engineering foundation, and the expert material emphasizes that Lucid has spent years refining the car with help from experienced mechanical and software engineers. The driving and software notes also suggest a car that feels more sorted than an early startup product, with responsive displays and updated lane-departure behavior.

The performance write-up points to a relaxed default driving mode, predictable throttle response, and suspension tuning that handles rough pavement with composure. The cost-effectiveness notes also say the Air can be a superb value at the lower end if you have home charging, which matters for long-term ownership because it reduces dependence on public charging.

If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is still EV-specific wear and software complexity, so you should pay close attention to charging behavior, electronics, and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lucid Air?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus on how the car has been charged and maintained. On a used EV like this, condition matters not just for cosmetics but also for battery health, software behavior, and charging performance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level Pure skips the Glass Canopy, while the Sapphire has its own exclusive look and omits that option; make sure the equipment gap matches what you want.
• Powertrain: The Pure is rear-wheel drive with a single motor, while the Touring is dual-motor all-wheel drive; the performance notes also show that the Air lineup ranges from efficient long-distance setups to extreme high-output variants.
• Safety package: DreamDrive is standard and includes forward and rear emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, auto high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Look for the 34-inch curved display setup with three 5K screens, wireless Apple CarPlay, and the OTA update path for Android Auto.
• Range & charging: The Air uses a 92-kWh battery in the Pure and Touring, 112 kWh in the Grand Touring and Sapphire, and 300-kW DC fast charging; the Grand Touring is the trim tied to the claimed 516-mile range.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has been charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and review how much of the battery warranty remains before you buy.

Which 2024 Lucid Air trim should I buy?

The 2024 Lucid Air is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, Sapphire.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the best-value trim if you want the Lucid experience at the lowest price, with rear-wheel drive, strong range, and the core luxury-sedan feel without paying for the higher-output models.
• Touring: This is the step-up choice if you want dual-motor all-wheel drive and more power while keeping the Air’s long-range character and polished road manners.
• Grand Touring: This is the range-focused pick, and it is the trim to target if maximum distance matters most to you.
• Sapphire: This is the extreme-performance model, but it is also the most specialized and expensive choice, so it makes sense only if you want the top-end hardware and headline acceleration.

DreamDrive is standard, and the safety content notes that DreamDrive Pro is a semi-automated highway assist that is not yet approved for hands-free use.

Should I buy a 2024 Lucid Air or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• The 2024 model adds drastic price cuts and a new Sapphire trim with standout performance.

Consider the 2023 if:

• It offers a more affordable entry point with a strong range-focused luxury-EV appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of range, performance, and value, the 2024 is the better target. If your priority is simply getting into a Lucid Air for less money, the 2023 can still make sense as a price-sensitive alternative.
