Used 2024 Lexus RX for Sale nearFayetteville, NC

How much does the 2024 Lexus RX cost?

Prices have softened 6.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,910 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The RX is built around comfort, luxury, and fuel efficiency, so it makes the most sense if you want a refined daily driver rather than something flashy. The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, and some interior materials feel cheap.

Its quiet-cabin, comfort-first character fits buyers who value a relaxed midsize luxury SUV over an engaging one. The market also shows 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The RX’s appeal centers on comfort, refinement, and efficiency, and the expert evaluation reinforces that it is aimed at buyers who want an easygoing luxury SUV. The powertrain lineup is broad, and the model’s fuel-efficient positioning supports lower day-to-day operating stress.

The RX 450h+ adds electric-only driving capability, while the hybrid and gasoline versions are tuned for smooth, calm use rather than hard driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a comfort-first luxury SUV can still bring higher repair and upkeep exposure than a mainstream crossover if it has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus RX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin, electronics, and any signs of uneven wear. Pay close attention to condition details that affect the RX’s premium feel, since some materials can be a weak point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base RX 350 starts with a 9.8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims get a larger 14-inch display and more upscale cabin materials. The Luxury trim adds faux suede inserts, and the Premium trim adds parking proximity sensors.
• Powertrain: The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the RX 350h hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 246 hp and 233 lb-ft. The RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid increases output to 304 hp and can travel up to 37 miles on electric power.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes standard with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear passenger safe-exit system. The Premium trim adds parking proximity sensors, and the Luxury trim adds a head-up display.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 9.8-inch touchscreen, while other models use a 14-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system also supports cloud-based navigation, though it is subscription-based after the trial period.
• Fuel efficiency: The RX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg combined with FWD and 24 mpg combined with AWD. The RX 350h is estimated at 36 mpg combined, and the RX 450h+ is rated at 35 mpg combined with 37 miles of electric-only range.

Which 2024 Lexus RX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Lexus RX is offered in 4 trim levels: RX 350, RX 350h, RX 500h F Sport Performance, RX 450h+.

Here's the short version:

• RX 350: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core RX experience with the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, a smooth ride, and the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the base setup.
• RX 350h: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds the hybrid powertrain and a big jump in fuel efficiency while keeping the RX’s comfort-first character. If you want the strongest balance of efficiency and everyday usability, this is the one to target.
• RX 500h F Sport Performance: This is the choice if you want the most power in the lineup, with 366 horsepower and a sportier setup than the other models. It suits you best if performance matters more than maximum efficiency.
• RX 450h+: This is the plug-in hybrid option, and it adds 37 miles of electric-only range along with stronger output than the standard hybrid. It makes the most sense if you can charge regularly and want the most advanced efficiency setup.

The Premium trim adds parking proximity sensors, while the Luxury trim adds a head-up display.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus RX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,910 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,946, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $48,946 sits slightly below last year's $52,327.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help future resale by keeping demand broad. Because the model is still strongly associated with comfort, refinement, and efficiency, it should remain appealing to shoppers who want a premium crossover without chasing performance.

If prices stabilize after this softer stretch, sellers who bought at the right time may be better positioned later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Lexus RX safe?

The 2024 Lexus RX earned five-out-of-five stars in overall and side collision protection and four stars in frontal and rollover tests from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rated it Good in all crashworthiness evaluations except the moderate frontal overlap test, where it received Poor, and it earned a Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

All RX models come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear passenger safe-exit system. The Premium trim adds parking proximity sensors, and the Luxury trim adds a head-up display.

The main caveat is the poor moderate frontal overlap result, which is worth keeping in mind if crash-test performance is a top priority. Some driver-assistance features can also be a little conservative and may trigger extra alerts.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings a broad powertrain lineup, including the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid with up to 37 miles of electric-only range.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $45,501, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $48,946 average.
• It stays true to the RX formula while adding enough dynamic and technological polish to feel current.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context, strong inventory, and the full range of RX powertrains. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one in strong condition with the features you want.
