Is the 2024 Lexus LX a good car?

The 2024 Lexus LX stands out as a full-size body-on-frame SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with a luxury-first mission. It comes from the fourth generation, which is described as the most luxurious, most rugged, and most advanced version of the LX.

That combination is backed by standard four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, hill-descent control, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor, along with an adjustable suspension and Active Height Control. It also has a reputation for smooth and quiet on-road manners, which helps make its capability feel more polished than purely utilitarian.

For shoppers who want a luxury SUV with genuine off-road ability and a strong feature set, the 2024 Lexus LX has a very distinctive appeal. 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Lexus LX reliable?

The 2024 Lexus LX is described as having a reputation for real capability and reliability, and it pairs that with a smooth, quiet driving character that makes it feel more refined in daily use.

At the same time, the current generation has faced engine-related reliability concerns in 2022 to 2024 models, so you should treat long-term ownership as something that deserves careful vetting rather than assuming trouble-free use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus LX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck’s maintenance records are complete, especially given the model’s reported engine-related concerns in this generation. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on mechanical condition, drivability, and any signs of prior repair work, then make sure the cabin electronics and suspension systems operate as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus LX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined about condition and price.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $89,757, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus LX's resale value?

The current average of $89,757 sits slightly below last year's $97,974.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to help you buy more selectively today, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later, especially if you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it carefully.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus LX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.39% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the right pick if you want the LX’s luxury-and-off-road formula with a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing closely, but the 2024 remains the stronger choice when you want a well-equipped, distinctive full-size luxury SUV and can find one with clean history and solid maintenance.
