Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with high-end performance and a distinctly upscale cabin. It is appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels genuinely engineered for difficult conditions, and it also brings a strong technology suite and a performance-focused character.

That said, it is positioned as a midsize SUV that starts at more than $80,000 and can reach $200,000, so value is not its main calling card. 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport’s used-car case is weakened by poor reliability, poor fuel economy, and low resale out of warranty. It is best suited to you if you value its breadth of talent more than long-term ownership costs.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is a real consideration, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle beyond the warranty period.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you are seriously considering, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the vehicle’s luxury and off-road systems have been maintained. Pay close attention to wear items and any evidence that the SUV has been used hard, since condition matters a lot on a vehicle like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,427 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $69,813, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $69,813 sits slightly below last year's $80,207.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, but it also signals softer retained value for future owners. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but you should not expect especially strong resale performance later. For a future seller, the current trend means pricing competitively will matter if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.96% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $62,233, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $69,813 average.
• It emphasizes strong off-road ability over on-road polish.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $82,218, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $69,813 average.
• It adds sharper handling and a more stylish, compact feel.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best fit if you want the strongest mix of current-market pricing, clean inventory, and the model’s upscale capability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the smarter value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want the newer-year premium and are willing to pay more for it.
