Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport stands out as a luxury SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with high-end performance and a distinctly upscale cabin. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that starts at more than $80,000 and can reach $200,000, and it sits between the compact Range Rover Velar and the flagship Range Rover.

That mix of capability and technology makes it appealing if you want a luxury SUV that feels genuinely engineered for difficult conditions. At the same time, its used-car case is weakened by poor reliability, poor fuel economy, and low resale out of warranty, so it is best suited to you if you value breadth of talent more than long-term ownership costs.

34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport’s used-car case is weakened by poor reliability, poor fuel economy, and low resale out of warranty. It is a luxury SUV with serious capability and a high-end cabin, but those strengths do not erase the ownership risks that matter most to used buyers.

If you plan to keep one long term, you should expect higher risk than you would with a more conventional midsize luxury SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you are seriously considering, even when the market looks clean overall. Put a pre-purchase inspection near the top of your checklist, with extra attention on condition, electronics, and signs of hard use. Because this model is expensive to own, you want the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,418 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $69,193, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $69,193 sits slightly below last year's $79,826.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect depreciation pressure to remain a real factor. If you buy one, the best protection is choosing a clean, well-kept example at a strong entry price.

Should I buy a 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $61,631, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $69,193 average.
• It emphasizes off-road strength over on-road polish.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $82,353, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $69,193 average.
• It adds a more refined blend of style and handling.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2024 if you want the best balance of current pricing, deal availability, and clean inventory. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value path; if you want a newer-feeling alternative and can spend more, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
