How much does the 2024 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices are up 2.78% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 5,453 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2024 Sportage stands out as a well-equipped compact SUV that leans heavily on value and everyday usability, with a modern cabin, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Smart Key keyless entry with remote start and pushbutton start. It also offers a wide spread of trim levels and powertrains, including gasoline, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid versions, which gives you flexibility if you want to balance price, efficiency, and equipment. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Sportage’s appeal comes from the broader strengths of the redesigned model rather than a fresh update, and it brings available all-wheel drive, generous safety and driver-assistance equipment, and strong fuel economy in hybrid form. At the same time, the base engine is described as underwhelming and the interior materials are noted as feeling cheap, so reliability-minded buyers should focus on well-kept examples and the better-equipped versions.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a lower-trim example that feels less refined than the rest of the lineup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Sportage?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s accident record and ownership background. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain behavior, since the Sportage’s value story is strongest when the vehicle is in good condition and equipped beyond the most basic trim. Focus on signs of wear that could undercut the model’s everyday usability, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,453 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.78% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,480, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $25,914 sits slightly above last year's $25,213.

That price movement suggests the Sportage is holding demand well enough to support used values. If you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should have a reasonable path to preserving value when it’s time to sell. The model’s broad appeal, especially for shoppers who want a practical daily driver with a lot of content, helps keep it relevant in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.78% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,273, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,914 average.
• It offers distinctive styling and roomy packaging.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, condition, and buyer demand. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
