Used 2024 Kia EV9 for Sale near Wisconsin

How much does the 2024 Kia EV9 cost?

Prices have softened 7.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 714 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Kia EV9 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Kia EV9 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The EV9 stands out as Kia’s all-new flagship and one of the few fully electric three-row SUVs on the market, so you get family-size space without giving up electric power. It also brings a refreshingly familiar driving experience, along with a well-appointed cabin and a spacious third row that should matter if you need real passenger room.

The main trade-offs are that it is expensive and its electric range is only medium. Even so, the EV9’s combination of standout design, useful interior space, and intuitive driving manners makes it especially appealing if you want a distinctive EV that still feels easy to live with.

37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Kia EV9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The EV9 is presented as a new electric SUV with a familiar driving feel, and its expert review emphasizes smooth, refined power delivery and a regenerative braking system that can be adjusted to feel natural. That kind of easygoing behavior is a good sign for day-to-day ownership because it suggests the vehicle should be approachable rather than demanding.

The review also notes Kia’s long powertrain warranty, which is a meaningful ownership advantage for a used-EV buyer. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is still the usual used-EV concern: battery condition and how the vehicle was charged over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia EV9?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a used EV where battery condition and charging habits matter. Focus on overall condition, charging-port health, and whether the vehicle has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base EV9 gets the core design and cabin experience, but the higher trims add more convenience and luxury touches. The top two trims also add the Digital Pattern Lighting Grille, while the GT-Line gets the head-up display.
• Powertrain: The Light trim uses a single rear motor with rear-wheel drive, while Wind, Land, and GT-Line use dual motors and all-wheel drive. Output and range vary by trim, with the Light Long Range prioritizing distance and the GT-Line prioritizing stronger performance.
• Safety package: The EV9’s standard driver-assistance suite includes navigation-based adaptive cruise control with machine learning and stop-and-go, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance. Blind-spot View Monitor is limited to Land and GT-Line, while reverse parking collision avoidance assist is reserved for the top two trims and front and side versions are limited to GT-Line.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch driver display, a 5-inch climate display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a wireless charging pad and OTA update capability.
• Range & charging: The Light trim is rated at 230 miles, the Light Long Range at 304 miles, the dual-motor Wind and Land at 280 miles, and the GT-Line at 270 miles. The Light uses a 76.1-kWh battery, the Light Long Range uses a 99.8-kWh battery, and DC fast charging should take about 25 minutes from 10 to 80 percent.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, confirm typical charging behavior, and review how much of the battery warranty remains. A used EV is best when it has a healthy battery, sensible charging history, and enough warranty coverage left to reduce long-term risk.

Which 2024 Kia EV9 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Kia EV9 is offered in 5 trim levels: Light, Light Long Range, Wind, Land, GT-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Light: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the EV9’s core three-row space, standard tech, and the lowest starting price. It uses a single rear motor and rear-wheel drive, so it’s the simplest way into the lineup.
• Light Long Range: This is the best-value trim if range matters most. It swaps in the larger battery and stretches driving range to 304 miles, making it the smart pick for buyers who want the EV9’s family-friendly packaging with the least charging anxiety.
• Wind: This is the first dual-motor all-wheel-drive trim, so it’s the step up if you want stronger output and AWD traction without jumping all the way to the top model. It also gets the upgraded 14-speaker Meridian Premium Audio system.
• Land: This trim adds more upscale touches and convenience features, including the Blind-spot View Monitor and the 14-speaker Meridian Premium Audio system. It’s a good middle ground if you want more equipment without going full luxury.
• GT-Line: This is the most feature-rich and performance-oriented trim, with the strongest output, the head-up display, and the most complete lighting and safety hardware. Choose it if you want the most fully equipped EV9 and are comfortable paying for it.

The safety package is comprehensive across the lineup, but some features are reserved for Land and GT-Line, and the reverse parking collision avoidance assist is limited to the top two trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia EV9?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 714 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,725, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Kia EV9's resale value?

The current average of $41,953 sits slightly below last year's $45,233.

That price movement suggests the EV9 has already moved off its earlier peak, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer market can mean you may need to price more competitively later, especially if newer alternatives continue to expand the three-row EV segment.

The EV9’s strong appeal as a rare electric three-row SUV should help support demand, though. If you keep the vehicle in good condition and maintain battery health, it should remain attractive to shoppers who want space, style, and EV practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Kia EV9 safe?

The 2024 Kia EV9 has not been rated for safety by IIHS or NHTSA as of this writing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The EV9’s standard safety suite is broad, with navigation-based adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision warning, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance all included. That gives you a strong baseline even before you move up to trims with additional visibility and parking aids.

There are a few trim-level gaps to keep in mind. Blind-spot View Monitor is limited to Land and GT-Line, reverse parking collision avoidance assist is reserved for the top two trims, and front and side versions of that system are limited to GT-Line.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia EV9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 EV9 is notable for being Kia’s all-new flagship and one of very few fully electric three-row SUVs, while also offering a refreshingly familiar driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the EV9’s newest design, strong tech, and rare three-row EV packaging, the 2024 is the clear path. If you’re mainly chasing the lowest possible price, you can keep an eye on older or later-year inventory, but the 2024 already looks like a compelling buy thanks to its softened pricing, solid deal availability, and strong owner satisfaction.
