CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Kia EV6

Summary
With 1,389 currently listed for sale and an average price of $29,013, 43.0% of 2024 Kia EV6s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Kia EV6 3.75 / 5 stars.
92.9% of 2024 EV6 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Kia EV6 stands out as a compact electric crossover that blends sporty character with a strong feature set. It has a more coupe-like profile and a driver-focused cockpit with a firmer, sportier suspension, which gives it a different personality from more comfort-oriented rivals. It also benefits from Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric Global Modular Platform, along with ultra-fast charging and vehicle-to-load capability, making it appealing to buyers who want an EV that feels modern and useful rather than purely practical.
For this model year, the EV6’s appeal is rooted in its premium equipment and broad standard safety content. The lineup is described as having fast-charging 800-volt architecture, dual digital displays, a lot of standard safety features, and available all-wheel drive. The base trim is well equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens, navigation, LED headlights and taillights, heated front seats, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Higher trims add features such as ventilated front seats, a power liftgate, leatherette seating surfaces, a V2L external power port, a Meridian audio system, a head-up display, rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
There are tradeoffs, though. The EV6 is noted for unimpressive electric range and not much cargo space, so it is not the best fit for shoppers who prioritize maximum utility above all else. Even so, its stylish design, impressive technology, and premium interior materials help it remain distinctive, especially for buyers who want something sporty and high-tech in an affordable package.

I purchased a 2022 Kia EV6 Wind AWD with about 8k miles on it in September. Drove it the last 4 months and it was a very responsive and great handling car. I had multiple issues with Chargepoint and ended up replacing it with a Wallbox home charger. The wallbox is faster (11.5 kw/h) as well and much more reliable. I totaled the car last week and had zero injuries thanks to the amazing crash worthiness and safety features. I have to shop for a new car and I will probably get another one. Price/quality is right up there ! Some of the features are a little quirky to use and I dont like that the apple car play must be plugged in still. Probably my only negatives.

Expensive for normal features. I can get similar features in Hyundai kona, Kia nero or Nissan leaf. Alternative options are better than this.

Its appeal centers on the platform, charging capability, and feature-rich cabin rather than any standout warning signs in the overview. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should pay close attention to how the vehicle has been maintained and whether its condition matches its technology-heavy equipment.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia EV6?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the car’s accident and title history before you commit. Put inspection priority on the battery-related systems, charging equipment, and the condition of the cabin electronics, since this model leans heavily on technology. It also makes sense to focus on overall wear and whether the vehicle’s condition matches the asking price, especially if you are comparing multiple trims.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Kia EV6?
This looks like a buyer-friendly market, with decent deal availability and a healthy number of listings to compare.
- Deal availability: 43.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,382 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,057, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Kia EV6's resale value?
The current average of $28,988 sits slightly below last year's $30,835.
That price movement suggests the EV6 has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than someone who bought earlier. If you plan to own it for a while, the current pricing can work in your favor on the purchase side. If you expect to resell soon, condition and mileage will matter even more because the market has already moved down.
Should I buy a 2024 Kia EV6 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 43.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
Consider the 2025 if:
- It adds a facelift, revised interior, more range, and faster charging.
The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary pick if you want a sporty, well-equipped EV and you want to take advantage of softer pricing now. If you are more focused on the newest updates, improved range, and refreshed design, the 2025 is the better secondary path, though you will likely pay more for those upgrades.
