How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 13.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,330 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The expert review also highlights its broad powertrain lineup and strong trail-focused character, while noting that it still feels rough on pavement and that ride quality remains poor. That makes it a better fit if you want a purpose-built adventure vehicle than if you want a calm daily commuter.

The market backs that up, with 42.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable for the kind of use it’s built for, with praise centered on its ruggedness and off-road confidence.

The expert review also emphasizes the Wrangler’s durable, trail-ready hardware and its ability to handle demanding terrain. Jeep’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty add some ownership reassurance, and the 4xe battery carries longer coverage. Even so, used buyers should still watch for wear from hard off-road use, since that kind of life can accelerate maintenance needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Wrangler has been used off-road. Focus on signs of underbody damage, suspension wear, tire condition, and any evidence of hard trail use. It’s also smart to verify that the features you want are actually present, since some equipment is trim-dependent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport and Sahara are the more basic starting points, and they can miss out on locking differentials and the meaty tires that make the Wrangler feel more capable. Higher trims like Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 wear a more aggressive look, while Willys adds useful hardware that makes it a strong value choice for buyers who want capability without going all the way to Rubicon pricing.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, a plug-in hybrid version with 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 6.4-liter V8 with 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The 4xe stands out for its 21 miles of all-electric range and strong torque, while the 392 is the wildest option.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional except on the High Altitude and 392 models. There is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. Navigation is optional, and the system also supports off-road pages, Trails Offroad content, dual Bluetooth pairing, a wireless hotspot, and up to five user profiles.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe is rated at 49 MPGe combined in prior-year testing, while the V8 version managed 14 mpg combined. Most other prior-year models returned 20-23 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 6 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon, High Altitude, and 392.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it’s the trim most likely to leave you wanting more capability equipment. It makes sense if you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting price and plan to build from there.
• Sahara: This is the better choice if you want a more polished everyday setup while still keeping the Wrangler’s open-air personality. It’s also one of the trims where the Command-Trac 4WD system is mentioned, which is fine for light-duty use but not the most serious trail setup.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails. If you want real trail credibility without paying Rubicon money, this is the one to target.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to buy if off-road performance is your priority. It gets the Rock-Trac transfer case and the hardware you’d expect from the Wrangler’s most famous trail-focused nameplate.
• High Altitude: This is the more upscale choice, and it also stands out because some advanced safety features are standard here rather than optional.
• 392: This is the performance monster, with the 6.4-liter V8 and the most extreme straight-line punch in the lineup. It’s the one for buyers who want maximum power as much as maximum capability.

Safety-package note: blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, but they’re standard on the High Altitude and 392.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

The market is leaning in your favor right now, especially if you’re shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 42.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,330 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,872, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,872 sits slightly below last year's $42,478.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, the key question is whether the Wrangler’s strong enthusiast demand offsets normal depreciation. Well-kept examples with desirable trims and clean histories should hold up better than rougher, heavily used ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, though they’re standard on the High Altitude and 392. There is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available, which is a notable gap for a modern SUV.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 42.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds side-curtain airbags, updated tech, and more refinement without losing the Wrangler’s core character.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,813, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,872 average.
• It emphasizes classic body-on-frame off-road focus and solid-axle toughness.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $36,335, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,872 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks across the lineup.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the newest mix of capability, tech, and safety updates. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the cheaper route, while the 2025 is worth a look if you want the latest updates and can find one at a similar price.
