Used 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S for Sale near Oregon

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S a good car?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10. It’s aimed at you if you want Jeep’s first electric SUV to feel quick and modern rather than merely efficient, with strong straight-line performance, a comfortable cabin for five, and reasonable cargo space plus a small frunk. The trade-offs are real, though: the price is high, steering feel is described as lifeless, and the display screens can be distracting because of dust, fingerprints, reflections, and glare. With 30.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S reliable?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is presented as a new EV with a dual-motor setup, a 100.5-kWh battery pack, and a driving range estimate of 303 miles, which points to a modern electric package rather than a complicated one. The performance notes suggest the powertrain is strong and the braking and ride tuning are generally well sorted for street use, while the tech and charging setup are straightforward enough for daily ownership. Jeep also includes complimentary maintenance and a complimentary Level 2 home charger offer, which helps soften early ownership costs. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that you’re still buying an early-production EV with limited model-year history, so battery condition and electronics behavior deserve extra attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a high-priced EV with a lot of technology onboard. Focus on the condition of the screens, the steering behavior, charging performance, and whether the cabin shows signs of heavy use or cosmetic wear. Battery health matters too, so ask how the vehicle has been charged, confirm normal charging behavior at home and on DC fast chargers, and check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: For 2024, only the fully loaded Launch Edition is available, so you’re shopping a single, well-equipped version rather than comparing multiple trims. The cabin uses sustainable, recycled, and animal-free materials, but some lower cabin trim pieces look inexpensive, and the display-heavy dashboard can be hard to live with in bright sun.
• Powertrain: The Wagoneer S uses two 250-kW electric motors for all-wheel drive, and the available boost output is 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque. It’s tuned for street driving, with strong acceleration and a 400-volt battery architecture.
• Safety package: Jeep’s standard driver-assistance suite includes collision warning and avoidance, intersection collision assist, blind-spot monitoring with High Speed Overtake Warning, Active Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering, surround-view camera, parking sensors, and self-parking. There’s no hands-free driving system.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch climate screen, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, and a 10-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless charging and a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.
• Range & charging: The EPA range is 303 miles, the battery capacity is 100.5 kWh, and Jeep says DC fast charging can take the battery from 20% to 80% in 23 minutes. A Level 2 home charger is also part of the ownership picture, with Jeep saying a full home charge takes about nine hours.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you want evidence of normal charging habits, no warning lights, and no unusual range loss. A battery state-of-health check is ideal, and you should confirm how much of the original battery warranty remains before you buy.

Which 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is offered in 1 trim level: Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

The Launch Edition is the only 2024 choice, so your decision is really whether you want this fully loaded version at its price. It brings the full tech suite, strong performance, and the standard driver-assistance package, but it also carries the model’s biggest drawback: a high sticker price. If you want the first-year Wagoneer S experience and can live with the steering and screen glare issues, this is the trim to consider.

The safety package is standard on the Launch Edition, and there isn’t a lower trim to step down to for a simpler equipment mix.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S does not have crash-test scores available, so there’s no IIHS or NHTSA rating to cite here. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep equips the Wagoneer S Launch Edition with collision warning and avoidance, intersection collision assist, blind-spot monitoring with High Speed Overtake Warning, Active Driving Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering, a surround-view camera, parking sensors all around, and self-parking. The system is hands-on rather than hands-free, and Jeep does not offer a more advanced hands-free setup on this model.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It’s Jeep’s first electric SUV, with strong straight-line performance and a well-equipped Launch Edition.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds more versions at lower price points.

The bottom line: If you want the first-year Wagoneer S and can accept its price and quirks, the 2024 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, waiting for the 2025 lineup makes sense because it broadens the range and should give you more choices.
