Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 earns a 5/5 from users and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

It stands out as a smart choice among all-electric sedans because it combines plenty of range with surprisingly sporty performance and a comfortable ride. It is especially appealing if you want an EV sedan that feels polished and practical in everyday use.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space and styling that may not work for everyone. Even so, the car’s comfort, efficiency, and fun-to-drive character make it easy to recommend if those compromises do not bother you.

37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is presented as a well-rounded EV with strong range, quick charging, and a comfortable driving experience. Its electric hardware and everyday usability point to a model built for low-stress ownership, especially if you value efficiency and a quiet cabin.

Its performance content also emphasizes strong charging capability and a powertrain that delivers quick response, while the cost-effectiveness content highlights the model’s compelling range and operating-cost advantages. If you are shopping used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery, charging system, and software-related systems have been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on overall condition, charging-port operation, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The styling is polarizing, and the interior uses a modern, simple layout with a large digital instrument panel and infotainment touchscreen. Base-trim equipment is more modest than higher trims, so check whether the features you want are included before you commit.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive setups with single- and dual-motor configurations. Output ranges from 225 horsepower in rear-drive form to 320 horsepower with the dual-motor setup, and the range leader is the rear-drive SE.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, intersection collision mitigation, parking proximity sensors, safe exit alert, and a driver attention monitor. Higher trims add more advanced camera and collision-avoidance features.
• Infotainment: The car uses a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Wireless charging is included on the midrange SEL and up, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require a cable.
• Range & charging: The rear-drive SE is rated at 361 miles of range, while AWD versions are rated at 270 miles. The battery is 77.4 kWh, and DC fast charging can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes on a 350-kW charger.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, confirm normal charging behavior, and review how the car has been charged over time. For a used EV, you want evidence of consistent home charging, limited abuse, and enough remaining battery warranty coverage to give you peace of mind.

Which 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, SEL, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the best-value starting point if you want the longest range, since the rear-drive SE is the range leader at 361 miles. It gives you the core Ioniq 6 experience without moving up to the pricier trims.
• SEL: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value and equipment. It adds a wireless charging pad and brings in blind-spot collision intervention, cross-traffic collision mitigation, and Highway Driving Assist 2.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most complete feature set, including a surround-view camera system, a blind-spot camera system, and low-speed collision mitigation.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the SEL and Limited add meaningful driver-assistance upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make a purchase worthwhile if you find the right car.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 666 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,753, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6's resale value?

The current average of $26,286 sits slightly below last year's $28,106.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

The model’s strong range, comfort, and broad appeal among EV shoppers should help support demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 safe?

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, intersection collision mitigation, parking proximity sensors, safe exit alert, and a driver attention monitor. The SEL trim adds blind-spot collision intervention, cross-traffic collision mitigation, and Highway Driving Assist 2, while the Limited adds a surround-view camera system, a blind-spot camera system, and low-speed collision mitigation.

That means you get a strong standard safety suite, with meaningful upgrades as you move up the trim ladder. The blind-spot camera system is useful, but it can also be distracting for some drivers.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong range, sporty performance, and a comfortable ride in a polished EV sedan package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $25,623, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $26,286 average.
• It stands out for distinctive EV sedan styling and a broad lineup of trims and powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, range, comfort, and safety, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is worth a look, especially if you find one in good condition and the styling appeals to you.
