You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and suspension, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. • Inventory: There are 2,267 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.21% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5's resale value?

The current average of $27,454 sits slightly below last year's $30,919.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and practical appeal should help support demand among future used shoppers. If you keep mileage and condition in check, you should be in a better position to preserve value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds a new adventure-ready trim and keeps the formula largely intact.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary target if you want a strong mix of value, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2024 makes sense because the market has softened and there are plenty of listings to compare. If you want the newest version with a small feature update, the 2025 is worth a look, but it is more of a refinement than a major leap.
