Used 2024 Hyundai Elantra for Sale nearDenver, CO

How much does the 2024 Hyundai Elantra cost?

Prices have softened 5.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,151 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Elantra a good car?

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra is a qualified pick if you want a compact sedan that emphasizes style, versatility, and value over luxury polish. It earns 3/5 from users and 7.3/10 from experts.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

The Elantra’s appeal comes from its broader range of choices than many rivals, including multiple powertrain options and a manual transmission, plus a 2024 refresh that adds more style and standard equipment. The trade-offs are that the design may not be for everyone, the base engine is underwhelming, and the interior materials can feel cheap.

That makes it a better fit if you want a well-mannered sedan with a sporty edge rather than a luxury-minded cabin. 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Elantra reliable?

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra is positioned as a practical, well-rounded compact sedan with a strong value story and a long warranty. Expert testing describes it as a genuinely sporty, well-constructed car that competes on substance, and the performance notes point to a car that is comfortable and economical as well as entertaining.

The expert review also says the Elantra has a broad lineup and that Hyundai’s current generation finally feels properly sorted. On the ownership side, every Elantra comes with three years of maintenance and a five-year/60,000-mile warranty, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a car with a lot of equipment and multiple powertrain choices can vary more in condition and upkeep from one example to the next.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Elantra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim or more heavily optioned example. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level you’re paying for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, SEL, and Limited trims lose the lowered stance and sporty bumpers that help the car look more distinctive, and the base SE also misses the custom gauge layouts found on upper trims.
• Powertrain: The common trims use a 2.0-liter inline-four with 147 horsepower and a CVT, which is adequate around town but weak and loud on highways.
• Safety package: The SE and N come standard with forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and auto high beams. SEL trims with the Convenience Package and Limited trims add cyclist detection, front cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The Limited adds rear emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, and Highway Driving Assist.
• Infotainment: The SE has an 8-inch touchscreen, while SEL-and-above trims get a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not supported, but the system is quick and customizable.
• Fuel efficiency: The base SE is rated at 32/41/36, while the SEL and Limited are rated at 31/40/34. The N Line returns 28/35/31, and the N is rated at 21/29/24 with the manual and 20/27/23 with the automatic.

Which 2024 Hyundai Elantra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra is offered in 7 trim levels: SE, SEL, Limited, N Line, N, Blue, and Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and solid efficiency, but it’s also the trim most likely to feel basic in equipment and power.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more standard equipment and gets you closer to the Elantra’s more polished side without jumping too far in price.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most comfort and tech, including the larger touchscreen and the most advanced driver-assistance features.
• N Line: This is the pick if you want the strongest balance of comfort and response, plus the sportier character that makes the Elantra feel more engaging.
• N: This is the enthusiast choice if you want the most performance and can live with the compromises that come with it.
• Blue: This is the efficiency-focused hybrid choice if fuel economy matters most.
• Hybrid: This is the broader hybrid option if you want maximum efficiency without stepping into the performance models.

The Limited trim also gets the most complete safety package, including Highway Driving Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Elantra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,422, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Elantra's resale value?

The current average of $19,422 sits slightly below last year's $20,609.

That price movement suggests the Elantra has softened enough to help used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one, the current market is still supportive, but not strong enough to expect a premium unless your car is especially clean, well equipped, or unusually low mileage.

For future resale, the best protection is a well-documented history and a trim that buyers actively want. Higher equipment levels and strong condition should help you recover more value than a basic, heavily used example.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Elantra safe?

The 2024 Elantra received a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with four stars for the front passenger and five stars for the driver and for front and rear passengers in two side tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named it a Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, a driver attention monitor, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and auto high beams. SEL trims with the Convenience Package and Limited trims add cyclist detection, front cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control, while the Limited adds rear emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, and Highway Driving Assist.

One caveat is that IIHS noted the 2024 Elantra did not undergo all of its standard crash tests, and its moderate-overlap frontal result was worse than the 2021 model’s. Rear passengers also had a higher risk of injury despite added rear side airbags.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Elantra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.76% compared with last year.
• For 2024, the refresh adds more style and standard equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $18,792, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $19,422 average.
• It is roomy, safe, efficient, and technologically advanced.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the refreshed styling and stronger equipment mix, especially if you value the broader market selection. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play.
