Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Honda Odyssey earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It’s a family-focused minivan that emphasizes comfort, practicality, and easygoing driving manners, with seating for seven or eight and everyday convenience features that make it especially useful for busy households. Is the 2024 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Odyssey’s reliability case is supported by its strong safety reputation and its focus on proven family-hauler basics. It keeps the formula centered on front-wheel drive and a V6 engine, while offering useful convenience and active-safety technology. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a minivan that can still vary a lot in condition and equipment level.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm the van’s condition with a careful inspection. Pay close attention to wear on the interior, the operation of sliding seats and rear-seat features, and any signs that family-use mileage has taken a toll. Because this model is often bought for daily duty, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,343, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $35,343 sits slightly below last year's $38,354.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point than a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean you may not recover as much as you would have at last year’s pricing peak, especially if the market stays soft. Still, the Odyssey’s strong reputation and broad appeal should help it remain a recognizable used-family choice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,582, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $35,343 average.
• It adds a new 7-inch driver display and updated infotainment.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for the newer updates, the 2025 is the cleaner secondary path for buyers who want the latest tech.
