That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. The HR-V’s practical appeal and broad shopper interest should help it remain easy to market when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,425, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,446 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin with a fresh look and a strong standard feature set.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year market with stable pricing and strong owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the smarter value play and still gives you a modern, well-equipped HR-V.
