Is the 2024 Honda HR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a vehicle that owners find dependable, comfortable, and easy to live with over time. What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s background and make sure the title and accident records line up with the listing. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, tires, and brakes so you can judge overall wear, not just mileage. Because this model is valued for comfort and practicality, you should pay close attention to how well the cabin, ride quality, and features have held up.

What is the 2024 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $25,710 sits slightly above last year's $25,563.

That small increase suggests the HR-V is holding value reasonably well rather than swinging sharply up or down. Strong demand for practical, well-liked compact SUVs can also support a healthier resale position when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,734, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,710 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin and a strong standard safety suite.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2024 is the safer pick because pricing is stable, owner satisfaction is strong, and inventory is healthy. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition with the features you want.
