Used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback for Sale near Hawaii

How much does the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 2,289 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated car with an expert rating of 7.7/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback stands out because it brings together quality, fun, safety, utility, and affordability in one compact package. It is also the version of the Civic that adds significant utility and an available manual transmission, which helps give it a more engaging character than many small cars. For buyers who want a car that can be enjoyable to drive without making the monthly payment feel punishing, that combination is a major part of its appeal.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available and blind-spot warning is reserved for expensive trims. Even so, the Civic Hatchback’s comfort and strong safety ratings make it a well-rounded choice if you want a lively compact hatchback.

With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback is presented as practical and safe, with a refined and accurate driver-assistance setup that handled varied roads without incident. Its available turbocharged engine also adds to the sense that the car is built to be enjoyable over time, not just efficient on paper.

The cost-effectiveness notes also point to complimentary scheduled maintenance matching a key rival, which helps reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that you should still verify condition carefully, since a strong reputation does not replace a thorough inspection and history check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a car with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes the base LX, the value-oriented Sport, and the upscale EX-L with a leather interior, while the Sport Touring sits at the top. Base trims are more basic inside, with the 7-inch digital instrumentation panel and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, so you should decide early whether you want the more upscale cabin and added tech.
• Powertrain: LX and Sport use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque, while EX-L and Sport Touring get a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 180 hp and 177 lb-ft. The turbo engine is the better pick if you want stronger, more accessible power.
• Safety package: Every Civic Hatchback gets Honda Sensing, which includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and low-speed follow capability with the CVT, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot warning is limited to the more expensive EX-L and Sport Touring trims, and rear cross-traffic alert plus front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are only on Sport Touring.
• Infotainment: LX, Sport, and EX-L use a 7-inch touchscreen, while Sport Touring upgrades to a 9-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrumentation display. Sport Touring also adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The hatchback returns between 29 mpg and 35 mpg in combined driving, depending on trim and setup.

Which 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, Sport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Civic Hatchback experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the basics and plan to keep costs down, but it also comes with the simpler 7-inch tech setup.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more engaging character, including the option of a six-speed manual gearbox instead of the standard CVT. If you want the most affordable path to a more fun Civic Hatchback, this is the one to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim is the better choice if you want the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine and a more upscale interior, including a leather interior. It’s a stronger pick than the lower trims if comfort and stronger performance matter more than price.
• Sport Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the 10.2-inch digital display, 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, navigation, and the Bose audio system. It’s the right pick if you want the most technology and convenience, though the price climbs quickly.

Blind-spot warning is reserved for the more expensive EX-L and Sport Touring trims, and rear cross-traffic alert plus front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are only on Sport Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback?

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,289 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,443, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $25,324 sits slightly below last year's $25,440.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you’re thinking about future resale. A used Civic Hatchback that’s priced well today should remain relatively easy to explain to the next buyer, especially if it’s in clean condition and equipped with desirable features.

Because the average price has only moved down modestly, you’re not looking at a model that appears to be losing value rapidly. That kind of steadiness can support resale confidence for owners who plan to keep the car for a few years.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback safe?

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback earns Good ratings in nearly all assessments performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), with an Acceptable rating in the updated side-impact test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives it an overall crashworthiness rating of five stars, and it also earned a rare five-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and low-speed follow capability with the CVT, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot warning is limited to the more expensive EX-L and Sport Touring trims, and rear cross-traffic alert plus front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are only available on Sport Touring.

The updated side-impact result is the main caveat to keep in mind, even though the rest of the crash-test picture is strong.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Few cars can put a smile on your face when driving and making the monthly payment like a 2024 Civic can.

The bottom line: The 2024 model is the right path if you want a well-rounded hatchback with strong safety, good value, and a more engaging driving feel than many compact cars. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year’s market and focus on lower-priced listings near the bottom of the range.
