How much does the 2024 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have softened 1.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,646 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V a good car?

The 2024 Honda CR-V is a well-rounded choice if you want practicality, safety, and efficiency in a compact crossover, and its user rating is 3.8/5. The cabin is bigger, with 41 inches of rear legroom and 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, and it expands to 76.5 cubic feet with the seats folded. It also suits buyers who want an easy-to-live-with family vehicle that still feels manageable in daily use, even if it is not especially flashy or sporty. The market shows 40.6% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Honda CR-V reliable?

The 2024 Honda CR-V is presented as a strong reliability play, with the overview emphasizing its long-running reputation for dependability, along with good economy and a roomy interior. It also pairs that reputation with a generous list of standard safety tech, which adds to its appeal for everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright weakness and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and matches the condition you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda CR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, especially the cabin, cargo area, and how the vehicle drives, since the CR-V’s appeal depends heavily on being easy to live with every day. If possible, compare several listings so you can separate a clean, well-kept example from one that only looks good on paper.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda CR-V?

This is a buyer-friendly market for the 2024 Honda CR-V, with enough inventory and meaningful deal availability to give you leverage.

• Deal availability: 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,646 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,730, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $30,390 sits slightly below last year's $30,793.

That tells you the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the CR-V’s broad appeal, practicality, and reputation for dependability should help it remain relatively easy to move later. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be in a reasonable position when it comes time to resell.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.31% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $28,736, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $30,390 average.
• It offers a roomier, comfort-focused redesign with improved infotainment and safety features.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal availability, and clean listings. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
