CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid
overall

Summary
With 3,342 currently listed for sale and an average price of $28,403, 34.7% of 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid 4.67 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.67 / 10.
86.6% of 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid stands out as a mainstream hybrid that makes a strong case for itself through efficiency, practicality, and everyday polish. It is described as delightful to drive and thoughtfully detailed, with a roomy interior and a huge trunk that make it especially appealing as a family sedan. It also brings a reassuring safety story, with standard safety features and strong crash-test ratings adding to its appeal.
Its biggest trade-off is performance. The 2024 Accord Hybrid is said to be merely quick enough, especially if you remember the previous-generation Accord with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which was legitimately fast. In return, the hybrid delivers fuel economy in the 40s, and that efficiency is a major part of its appeal. The hybrid powertrain is standard on all 2024 Honda Accords except the base LX and step-up EX, which helps make the model’s strengths broadly available.
There are a few drawbacks to keep in mind. The styling is uninspired, some interior materials feel inexpensive, and the base prices are high. Even so, the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid remains a compelling choice for buyers who want a comfortable, practical sedan with strong efficiency and a well-rounded driving experience.

Great car, it really does the job on less gas and hybrid features

This car is absolutely amazing. So many features and such a smooth ride. It feels like you’re literally gliding down the road and it is amazing on gas with up to 47 MPG on the highway. 5 star safety features and I can see why it’s the best Sedan in 2024. It is a little on the pricey side for the fully loaded option but you definitely get what you’re paying for .

Reviewed a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid on Feb 28, 2024
I have owned this car for only one week but have already put more than 1600 miles on it. So far, I am impressed with the performance and MPG. I have averaged 44 MPG in combined City and highway driving. It was very comfortable on the long road trip as well. My only complaint so far is that the SPORT-L does not have the rear vents or USB ports. Hondas different trim levels dont really make sense. You get the rear vents and USB on the EX-L but not on the SPORT-L. Doesnt make sense to me. Other than that very pleased with the car so far

Is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid a good car?
Yes — the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.
The data points to a sedan that is especially strong on efficiency, practicality, and everyday polish. It is described as delightful to drive, thoughtfully detailed, and exceptionally practical, with a roomy interior and a huge trunk that make it a strong fit if you want a family sedan that still feels easy to live with.
The main trade-off is performance: it is merely quick enough, especially if you remember the previous-generation Accord with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. In return, you get fuel economy in the 40s, which is a major part of the appeal.
The model also carries a reassuring safety story, with standard safety features and strong crash-test ratings adding to its case. Good and great deals account for 35.6% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Accord Hybrid is presented as a polished, well-rounded sedan with a strong emphasis on efficiency, practicality, and everyday drivability. The expert notes describe it as thoughtfully detailed and easy to trust from behind the wheel, with a hybrid system that feels natural in normal driving and a ride-and-handling balance that supports daily use.
Its hybrid setup is described as a two-motor system that uses the gasoline engine as an onboard generator much of the time, while the propulsion motor drives the front wheels. That arrangement is meant to deliver smooth, efficient operation without the feel of a conventional automatic transmission.
The cost-effectiveness discussion also frames it as a satisfying choice you are unlikely to regret, which supports the idea that it should be a sensible long-term ownership pick. For used buyers, the main risk is less about durability and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained and inspected carefully.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same thing as guaranteed trouble-free ownership. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful if you are comparing cars with similar prices, since condition and equipment can vary meaningfully across trims. Focus on how the car presents inside and out, and make sure the features you care about are actually present on the specific listing.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Sport is the value pick, the EX-L is the mileage-focused choice, the Sport-L adds leather and black wheels, and the Touring brings luxury touches and exclusive technology. The base trim gap matters because the hybrid powertrain is not standard on every Accord variant.
- Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors, and it is front-wheel drive only. It is described as quick enough for everyday use, with strong low-end torque and fuel economy in the 40s.
- Safety package: Honda Sensing includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. EX-L adds parking sensors, and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking.
- Infotainment: Every model has a 10.2-inch digital instrument display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa Built-in, HondaLink services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Touring adds a 12-speaker Bose system, a wireless charger, a 6-inch head-up display, and Google Built-in.
- Fuel efficiency: The EX-L is rated at 48 mpg in combined driving, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Touring are rated at 44 mpg. In testing, the Touring returned 43.1 mpg.
Which 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring.
Here's the short version:
- Sport: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the hybrid experience without stretching to the pricier trims. It gives you the core Accord Hybrid formula and is the trim the data points to as the popular value pick.
- EX-L: This is the best-value trim if your priority is efficiency, since it is described as the mileage champ and is rated at 48 mpg in combined driving.
- Sport-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale look and feel, since it adds leather and black wheels while staying below the Touring.
- Touring: Pick this if you want the most equipment, including luxury touches, exclusive technology, the Bose audio system, wireless charging, a head-up display, and Google Built-in.
The Touring is also the only trim with the full set of exclusive tech features, while EX-L adds parking sensors and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,341 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.95% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 86.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,960, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,394 sits slightly below last year's $29,256.
That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than assuming the market will lift prices on its own.
The good news is that the Accord Hybrid still has strong appeal as a practical, efficient family sedan. Cars with broad shopper appeal and strong satisfaction tend to hold demand better, especially when they combine safety, space, and fuel economy.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid safe?
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS.
It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.
Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. EX-L adds parking sensors, and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking to help avoid bumper bumps.
The safety writeup also notes a few caveats with the driver-assistance system. Traffic-jam assist worked only intermittently in testing, the adaptive cruise control can leave a gap that invites cut-ins, and a false forward-collision warning briefly triggered automatic emergency braking. The steering wheel also cannot sense your hands directly, so you need small steering inputs to avoid warnings.
Should I buy a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.95% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It is a polished, practical family sedan with strong efficiency, a roomy interior, and a huge trunk.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $26,934, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $28,394 average.
- It is a refreshed, well-equipped family sedan with strong efficiency and everyday drivability.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $31,201, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $28,394 average.
- It adds standard wireless charging, heated front seats, and rear air vents.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, safety, and everyday usefulness, the 2024 is the strongest all-around choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer convenience upgrades and do not mind paying more.
