How much does the 2024 Genesis G70 cost?

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 a good car?

The 2024 Genesis G70 earns an 8.67/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The 2024 Genesis G70 stands out as a compact sport-luxury sedan with sharp styling, strong powertrain choices, great handling, excellent build quality, and impressive safety tech. It is especially appealing if you want a car that feels more compelling than its value-focused positioning might suggest.

The trade-offs are real, though: the trunk is snug, interior storage is limited, and wireless smartphone mirroring is missing.

For shoppers who care more about driving enjoyment and standard safety features than maximum space, it makes a strong case for itself. Good and great deals account for 36.4% of listings, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 reliable?

The 2024 Genesis G70 is positioned as a well-built compact luxury sedan with excellent build quality and a strong warranty package. Its standard powertrain lineup and broad safety equipment also support the sense that it is engineered to be a low-stress ownership choice.

The performance content points to a dynamic chassis, strong braking, and powertrains that provide plenty of power for highway merging. The cost-effectiveness content also notes free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a compact luxury sedan can become expensive if you ignore maintenance history or buy a poorly cared-for example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Focus on overall condition, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether the cabin and trunk space still suit your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin emphasizes attractive design details, excellent materials, and a few updated touches for this model year, but the base setup still leaves you with a snug trunk and limited interior storage.
• Powertrain: The base engine is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, while the upgrade is a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic and are offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist. Available upgrades include a blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and park-distance warning.
• Infotainment: Every G70 gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but they do not work wirelessly. Over-the-air updates are standard, and Genesis Connected Services is included.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter engine returns 24 miles per gallon combined in rear-wheel-drive form and 23 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The 3.3-liter engine is rated at 21 mpg combined in rear-wheel drive and 20 mpg combined with all-wheel drive.

Which 2024 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Advanced, Sport Prestige, Standard, Sport Advanced.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point if you want the G70’s core strengths at the lowest price, including the strong standard safety and tech package. It suits you if you care most about value and don’t need the extra luxury or performance equipment.
• Advanced: This is the best-value trim because it pairs the base engine with the features most shoppers will actually notice while keeping the price more approachable than the upper trims. If you want the smartest balance of equipment and cost, start here.
• Sport Advanced: This trim adds the V6 powertrain and moves you toward the more enthusiast-focused side of the lineup. It makes sense if you want stronger acceleration and are willing to pay more for it.
• Sport Prestige: This is the top-end choice for shoppers who want the most powerful setup and the fullest feature content. It is the trim to consider if you want the most complete version of the G70 and are less concerned about price.

The standard safety package already includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,075 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,031, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $31,706 sits slightly below last year's $34,747.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you get into the car at a better price today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect some depreciation pressure if you buy near the current average and try to resell soon.

The good news is that the current pricing still sits within a fairly tight year-round band, which can help support value if you buy well. If you choose a clean, well-equipped example and keep mileage reasonable, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2024 Genesis G70 earns Good ratings from IIHS in crashworthiness and crash avoidance and mitigation, and it has not received an overall, frontal, side impact, or rollover crash rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane following assist. Available upgrades include a blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and park-distance warning.

One caveat is that IIHS gave the G70 a Marginal score in child restraints because the lower LATCH anchors are too deep in the rear seats and difficult to maneuver around.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.
• A new, more powerful base engine arrives for this model year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,887, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $31,706 average.
• It offers a polished design and a well-rounded character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the stronger base engine and the latest version of the G70’s already appealing formula. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up the newer engine update, the 2023 is the better price-first alternative.
