How much does the 2024 Genesis G70 cost?

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 a good car?

The 2024 Genesis G70 earns an 8.7/10 expert rating, and the strongest category score is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The overview and expert testing both point to a compact sport-luxury sedan that feels compelling because of its sharp styling, excellent handling, strong build quality, and new, more powerful base engine. The trade-offs are a snug cabin, especially in the trunk, plus limited interior storage and no wireless smartphone mirroring. For you, that means the G70 makes the most sense if you value driving enjoyment and upscale execution more than maximum practicality.

With 37.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 reliable?

The 2024 Genesis G70 is presented as a well-rounded luxury sedan with strong build quality, impressive standard safety features, and a long warranty that supports ownership confidence.

Its powertrain lineup is described as strong and well-suited to the chassis, and the expert testing notes that both engines provide plenty of power for highway merging. The 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and three years of free scheduled maintenance also help reduce early ownership costs.

The maintenance coverage is a meaningful perk if you plan to keep the car for several years.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a compact luxury sedan can become expensive to live with if prior maintenance was skipped or if you need maximum cargo and cabin flexibility.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis G70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Prioritize a close look at the cabin, trunk, and storage areas if you expect to use the car for daily errands or road trips. It also makes sense to confirm that the infotainment and driver-assistance features work as expected, since this model leans heavily on standard tech.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup already includes strong standard safety tech and a well-finished cabin, but the least-expensive version is still the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about extra luxury touches.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, while the available 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. The 2.5-liter is the better value unless you specifically want the extra punch.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane following assist. Available upgrades include a blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and park-distance warning.
• Infotainment: Every G70 gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus over-the-air updates. Wireless smartphone mirroring is not included.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter engine returns 24 mpg combined in RWD form and 23 mpg combined with AWD. The 3.3-liter engine returns 21 mpg combined in RWD and 20 mpg combined with AWD.

Which 2024 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Advanced, Sport Prestige, Sport Advanced, and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Advanced: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the new 2.5-liter engine, strong standard safety tech, and the core G70 experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• Sport Prestige: This is the top four-cylinder trim and the one to consider if you want a more fully equipped version without jumping to the V6.
• Sport Advanced: This trim adds a step up for V6 buyers who want more equipment before reaching the top trim.
• Sport Prestige: This is the most expensive version and the one for you if you want the V6 with the fullest equipment list.

The standard safety package is strong across the lineup, but the available blind view monitor and 360-degree camera are worth seeking out if you want the easiest daily driving experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,006 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,032, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $32,350 sits slightly below last year's $34,120.

That decline suggests the market has moved in your favor if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may face softer pricing than owners saw a year ago. The year-round range still shows healthy demand, which helps support resale stability. If you keep the car in clean condition and maintain it well, you should be in a better position to protect value when it is time to sell.

Is the 2024 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2024 Genesis G70 has not received an overall, frontal, side impact or rollover crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). However, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the G70 the top score of “Good” in crashworthiness, crash avoidance and mitigation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control and lane following assist. Available safety upgrades include a blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and park-distance warning.

One caveat is the child-restraint result: the G70 received a “Marginal” score because the lower LATCH anchors are deep in the rear seats and harder to access.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.19% compared with last year.
• A new, more powerful base engine and strong handling make this year especially compelling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,416, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $32,350 average.
• It offers a stylish, enjoyable small luxury sedan with approachable technology.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger value proposition and the updated base engine, the 2024 is the better pick. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 remains a smart alternative as long as you are comfortable giving up the newer powertrain and some of the 2024 appeal.
